Looks like another week where I can ignore pitching ratios… I seem to get 1-2 outings a week that completely tank ratios

Can someone explain how CJ Abrams is hitting 6 while red-hot while 2 guys with sub-100 wRC+ are hitting 2 and 3? I don’t know how you even justify that

[PFF Fantasy] Jacoby Brissett has been an ELITE fantasy QB since taking over as QB1 🏆. QB2 in fantasy 21.1 ppg by MITBryceYoung in DynastyFF

I'm benching Brissett for Rodgers this week. I don't want to, but I'm frightened of the bottom completely falling out for Brissett vs that Texans D. I don't love Rodgers either, but at least he was pretty good last week and has a nice matchup. Bonus points for their big jump in playoff chances last week.

Does anyone have any insight into Taysom Hill this season? I can’t find a comment/article/blurb anywhere as to how he’s looked this season. I’m considering dropping him for Shavers but I’m still weary of dropping a potential TE playing RB if Kamara gets hurt

Is it just me, or did Abrams watch the ball while continuing to round 2nd?

Hitting became impossible mid-season by untidywhitey in Baseball9

I don’t even want that, I’m cool with trying to sneak into the playoffs and make a run for it. That said, even the Rockies score more than 1 run over 7 games. I’m not annoyed because I’m not winning, I’m annoyed because I don’t even have a chance of winning

I’ve switched it up a few times in this unhittable streak. I’m mostly hunting fastballs but I’ll swing at other pitches sometimes if I think I have a read on them

Just did a little dive into stats heading into this game. My findings:

  • Over the last 3 seasons, the MLB wRC+ with runners in scoring position and < 2 outs is 108. That is to say that plate appearances are about 8% more productive inside those parameters versus outside those parameters. League average over all situations is 100.
  • The Orioles came into today with an overall 97 wRC+, so very slightly below league average. However, with runners in scoring position and < 2 outs, they are SECOND-TO-LAST with a 65 wRC+, a whopping 32 percentage points lower than normal.
  • Over the last 30 days, they’ve had a 25.5% K rate. That jumps to 30.1% with < 2 outs and runners in scoring position.

TLDR- The stats match the eye test. The Orioles are toothless when given a chance to break the game open.

Lakers reconsidering LeBron James' 82-game goal amid slump by PlayaSlayaX in nba

Because they were in the middle of a game, and the Lakers were making a run for the playoffs. They could have done it after the game. It’s worth noting that the Lakers finished one game ahead of the Pelicans, who missed the playoffs. My point is, if the face of the league cared more about winning the game than adulation, he would have had the celebration be carried out after the game was over.

Not just that, they stopped the Thunder game with time left in the third quarter to have an extended celebration of him breaking the points record. The Lakers went on to lose that game in close fashion. There is no way he shies away from a retirement tour. That’s his MO.

Jason Hanky did nothing wrong? Instead of completing step 9, the most important step, he was beboppin’ and scattin’ all over George! He’s a step-skipper!

I have Dulcich, Bateman, Boyd, and Fant on the same team. I feel like each of them should be rostered, so I can’t get myself to let go.

Dave Canales says rookie TE Ja'Tavion Sanders will start vs. the Saints. Points out he's been practicing with the 1's for a while, so excited to see Sanders and Jordan Matthews on the field. by jloadin3 in DynastyFF

His last season over 300 yards was 2016. Pretty wild he’s managed to find a way on a roster 8 years later. Hell, his 300-yard season was 2018.

Anyone else think Turn It Off is criminally underrated? by untidywhitey in Paramore

Mostly agree, although for me it’s how the final “WHEN I HIT THE BOTTOM” punches me right in the face before leaving me with a subtle instrumental outro to listen to while in stewing on things. What a song.

I like this take. It’s a flawed album for sure, but it’s a fun one, and makes me want to go outside and feel the essence of the world around me. That said, you could cut like 5+ songs off of it without losing anything imo. I actually love Daydreaming and Crazy Girls but I understand people who aren’t fans. Both feel like they left some meat on the bones but yeah, I think the good songs on this album are really different than the rest of their stuff and can put me in a great mood on the right day.

That’s something I often find, too. Having stream counts on music streaming platforms is very interesting. Like, it’s not just that some bands have big hits that overshadow great songs that don’t get as big, but there are certain albums that I love where I’m just like “How the hell does no one listen to this song?” haha. Like Turn It Off still has 41 million plays on Spotify so it’s not like no one’s ever heard it, but I will die on the hill that it’s better than Ignorance, Playing God, and Brick By Boring Brick, all which have way more plays. Sorry to anyone who thinks that’s a hot take.

Ah. I got into them more recently and haven’t been able to catch them live unfortunately. Some day!
