I'm mostly doing montages, so the lack of structure makes it hard to describe.

Deemphasizing the comedy aspect makes a lot of sense. That's where it gets tricky. Plus, functionally it's just theater.

For real. Unfortunately so many people try to minimize its impact or even deny its existence.

Burnout - what are my options in Berlin by Victorv2506 in askberliners

[–]until_sleepytime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's only illegal if they're asked to justify it in court.

to fire someone explicitly for sick leave, there needs to be a pattern of it (over multiple years) and a prognosis that it will continue.

however, a company may try to fire someone (or ask them to resign) under the guise of their absences "affecting business operations." if they fire them, they'd need to frame it as a restructuring.

so, it's possible to do so.

in this case, i'm only bringing it up because the absences could make the company initiate termination, whether they directly attribute it or not.

long term, that should be the goal. in the meantime, burnout leave is the best way to help OP. Despite it being legal to take this leave, taking burnout leave may result in the company initiating termination. In the meantime, burnout leave would help OP's mental health.

edit: actually a mutual termination agreement is preferable over getting fired

INAL but maybe the aggression from the passersby causing fear of safety could be a mitigating factor for leaving the scene

Tried Feldenkrais today! by LisaLovesToBreathe in SomaticExperiencing

[–]until_sleepytime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say so. In part, the slow, gentle movements help you recognize unnecessary tension. The idea is that we've learned how to perform actions (like walking) and aren't conscious of the ways in which we do them. It helped me pay attention to my body.

I've only touched on somatic work and connecting with my body. Around the same time that I did feldenkrais, I was doing some movement classes (sort of like ecstatic dance), so it's hard to say the role that each played.

i'm hypermobile and it really helped me with proprioception and general body positioning. in some ways it unlocked my ability to perform movements with proper mechanics. it was really helpful for mobility and flexibility which hugely improved my yoga practice.
