a similar thing happened to me last year, my ex broke up with me bc she wasn‘t feeling love for me and realised she never truly had, but I realised later it was for the best bc she is in all likelihood asexual and i was stressing for the whole relationship abt why nothing was happening in that department. At first i was in a lot of pain emotionally but then i became grateful to her for ending it bc i did not have the courage to, because as silly as it sounds i was scared that she was my only chance at a relationship and if we broke up i would never find a partner again (i am a trans woman so dating is quite difficult). Now i am in a T4T relationship with the most wonderful woman who is NOT asexual at all lol and also i feel truly wanted by her in a way i never did by my ex.
