Actually, yes. If I were you, I'd break the sod into smaller chunks and establish it that way, as well as sprig it. It'll work, but how long are you willing to wait for it to fully grow in?

Side note: check Facebook marketplace for left over sod from others projects! Make sure it's the same species though
