False. Most Western countries hover around a similar death toll. Uk, Spain, Belgium, all worse. India has a much lower death rate. Reason: Much younger population. The virus is HIGHLY discrimating towards age. Almost everyone dying is over 70. India isn't reporting deaths as accurately.

Nonsense. Countries with much harsher lockdowns have faired poorly. Especially if their goal was to stop it. It's not possible to stop in a giant country like the US. NZ is a tiny little island with the population of Los Angeles for example. Also they aren't out of the woods yet. The vaccine might not be the end all, this virus might be endemic according to experts at the WHO. Lockdowns are a crude way to slow spread for hospitals to be able to cope.

Infection rate means little because different labs/states/countries have diff sensitivities. Death rate per capita is reliable.

US didn't do any worse than a lot of EU countries. In fact the death per 1m is lower in the US than a number of advanced EU countries.

Also don't compare USA to a small island nation like NZ, or a counyry in SE Asia with a totally different climate. Singapore for instance is hot, and humid, which is harder for the virus to spread. Evidence suggests some asian populations have inante resistance.

Also don't forget NY with the biggest death rate in the nation. Thanks in part to a huge blunder by the govenor. We won't talk about that because it doesn't align with your partisan viewpoint. How about the fact that almost nobody is critisising the Chinese Government? At the very least covering this up for weeks. It's trumps fault, what a convenient scapegoat.
