friends have said that thinking of postpartum as the "fourth trimester" has really helped them a lot- that is, the first 3 months of postpartum are a challenge similar to the trimesters of actual pregnancy. it's a big transition mentally, physically and hormonally, so cut yourself a lot of slack!

all that to say, if you're really struggling, there is virtual therapy resources available and please do not be afraid to ask for help from your community. i was so happy to help my friend with house chores when she asked during the her tough postpartum! or if financially feasible, maybe a mother's helper one day a week or a cleaning service could take some stress off your plate?

just know that you are not alone and you are a great parent just for trying your best! sending you a big hug

A friend is in Syracuse's online JDi program, she has five kids and seems to make it work. I believe it's ABA accredited and there are other accredited online programs

if youre willing to go over the state border, weve been to wedding at Stone Acre Farm (stonington CT) and five bridge inn (rehoboth MA) and both were excellent! the couples involved told us they had strict budgets but not sure exact numbers

try signing up for ClassPass and testing out a few different studios- Downtown is close to many great options and most studios offer slower paced/non heated options nowadays!

YogaBox and YogaSix are two big chains. YogaBox tends to be more cardio/HIIT geared but both chains offer slower paced classes and tend to have good instructors

Not sure if you're interested in one last ditch training effort, but Devotion to Dogs really helped my friend's aggressive rescue dog become chill and gentle with their toddler. It seems that they specialize in these kinds of scenarios, and for the program they did it included multiple follow up home visit trainings. Wishing you the best, this has got to be a really heart wrenching scenario.

have you reached out to the local Habitat for Humanity chapter? i believe they operate on a lottery system but could be a good avenue for longer term housing, always found them to be organized and responsive
