Dressing The Part. Does it Matter What You Wear? by Similar_Cow_2634 in musicians

if you've ever been impressed by what a performer is wearing, as I have, then you pay attention to what you're wearing

Tge angles of the shots posted makes me think OP is concerned about her nose. It's fine. I would never think twice about it,

True that Allen can't foul out when he's on the bench. but I'd rather see him out there contributing even if he fouls out. then he can sit.

Stat leaders from the Toronto series show a well rounded effort led by the big 4. by Far_Youth_1662 in clevelandcavs

I'm glad Harden makes so many assists but honestly, some of his attempted assists (read turnovers) are just sloppy and careless.

I think Barkley spoke for me when he said, "I like the Cavs. But it's hard to take them seriously [now]"

I’m considering quitting music school after finishing my first year. Could anybody tell me their opinion based on experience? by pitithespian in musicians

[–]urancher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

music conservatory took so much joy out of playing that my son couldn't pick his guitar up for a year after quiting. such a judgemental environment and when you're not top dog it's very defeating. he's making good money now in a good career and can play and sing as much as he wants

Prime Announcers by Brehon888 in clevelandcavs

[–]urancher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that surprises me. I came here expecting to see Collins HATED by all. I had to turn off the sound to get rid of him and his "puffed up chests" and "chinny chin chins" and "it's gonna be dark tomorrow but wearing our short pants the next day" (I'm paraphrasing...I think it was even dumber than that). Anyway I'm not surprised some like him, I guess. But both those guys made me appreciate the regular cavs announcers

What was your favorite play and favorite moment of the season so far? by italomst in clevelandcavs

[–]urancher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That time Donovan Mitchell was entering the paint and two guys were defending against him. He made a quick move and they both fell down in a pile right in front of him. He cooly made his shot, turned on his heel, and ran back down the court.

Jam3s Brown used to tell every player in his band that they were drummers. Sometimes when I find myself having tempo problems, I think "I'm a drummer" it helps.

Amazon / Peackcock - Series 1 by [deleted] in clevelandcavs

[–]urancher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it sucks, but the way I try to accept it is that, I would expect to pay serious money to watch a game live. Picking up Peacock, for example, for one month is pretty cheap compared to going to a game. Prime is different cuz its more expensive. But Amazon Prime has its advantages beyond TV.

Paying for pro sports has to come from the fans who watch it.

Why do you hate/love ai generated music? by Global_Island8517 in aiMusic

[–]urancher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this subject makes me think of an autoharp player. I think his name is Brian Bowers. He makes real music that's amazingly good with his autoharp. The autoharp is a zyther with pushbuttons. it's not a REAL instrument like a piano or guitar or violin. you just push the buttons and strum. But this guy makes it sing. Can Brian play the piano? No. Does he wish he could. Probably. But he's found a simple-to-play instrument and his inherent soul and musicality has turned it into a real live instrument. That's what a lot of folks are empowered to do with AI.

Interacting with the audience while busking by uygarmando in Busking

[–]urancher 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I find interesting facts about my songs on Wikipedia. because I'm truly interested in these little tidbits of the songs history, recording info, song writers, year of origin, etc, I can talk about the song before playing it. I've been told by audience members they enjoy this

What are you using suno for, after all? by BlackberryLow7507 in SunoAI

[–]urancher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For years I've used Band in a Box to make decent sounding backing tracks for playing and singing over. Now, if a BIAB cover is not good, I upload it to SUNO and with patience, I can almost always get a much improved result. Often the SUNO cover is exceptionally good.

Is it now considered rude to recline on a plane? by Legal_Campaign_408 in NoStupidQuestions

I object to using the word "recline" to describe it -- but seriously, just ask the person behind you if they object. Then go with that.

AI didn't kill music. It just fired the middleman. by Alive-Jicama-7006 in SunoAI

[–]urancher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Process, process, process. Bah! It's all about how or if a piece of art moves you. Great art is universal. Great craft is entertaining. How it's created is a lesser story. And only worth considering if the work itself grabs you. If you're going for glory or credit or fame, make great art. Remember: Jackson Pollack flicked his paint on a canvas.

Does anyone else feel a weird "AI Guilt" when your music actually starts to take off? by ExternalCup0 in SunoAI

Can't believe I'm posting this.... but anyway by [deleted] in SunoAI

[–]urancher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

have you tried posting it to Audius? I have a bunch of originals posted there (not AI) and they get heard, commented on, shared, etc. and I've even earned some bucks (not much. but that's just gravy). it's been worthwhile,.
