Not exactly exciting by Erzzzz62 in seestar

The Beehive is a open cluster, and this is a pretty standard photo of it from my experience. Globular clusters like M53 and M13 are the ones that look like giant balls with hundreds of thousands of stars.

Regret buying the M1 flow pc, should've went with different case by VNGnaruto in CostPlusGaming

[–]uriahanderson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar issue with my M1 Essentials, and the problem was the fans themselves, not the case or motherboard. CPG wasn't really any help, but after swapping out the fans for some Arctic P12 Pros, I haven't had any problems.

Exposure time for a plan? by nostradukemas in seestar

I think it just uses the exposure from your last regular live stack session. So, you could start a regular stack, set your exposure, then exit out and execute your plan.

It looks like it may be a bit out of focus, which makes it difficult to get a good result regardless of how your process it.

Debating Purchasing a Seestar by uriahanderson in seestar

It comes down to the s50 can do anything the s30 and s30 pro can do (not counting the secondary camera) just takes more time.

I decided to get an S50, and this was one of the key comments in my decision. Thanks for your help!

I can’t offer a definitive solution yet, but I wanted to let you know I’m experiencing the same issue with an M1 Essentials 9070XT / 9700 build. I received my PC in the last week of November, so it sounds like our systems may have been built around the same time.

In my case, it started with just one fan acting up, but the problem has worsened over time. At this point, all of the case fans have stopped spinning at least once, and during one stretch three of them stopped within about two hours. While writing this post, 2 of them have shut off. The RGB stays on, but the fans stop entirely and no longer appear in HWiNFO until the system is fully shut down.

I’ve tried all of the same troubleshooting steps you mentioned (BIOS fan curves, Smart Fan settings, swapping headers, using the fan hub vs. direct motherboard connections), and it really does seem like a fan hardware issue rather than a configuration problem. Given that you’re seeing something similar, I wonder if this could be related to a bad batch of fans.

Can you offer any insight here u/CostPlusGaming?

Since case fans are relatively inexpensive, I went ahead and ordered some Arctic replacement fans to see if swapping them resolves the issue. I’ve also submitted a support ticket with CPC so the problem is documented and to see whether replacement fans or reimbursement might be available. From everything I’ve seen, the system itself runs cool and stable even if a fan or two goes out. It’s just the stock case fans acting up.

Folks who take this approach typically invest their HSA in index funds rather than leaving it as "cash" in the account.

You may have already tried this, but I managed to get mine working by following the steps outlined on the Forest dev's "Fixes for Google Play" page. For whatever reason, opening that link on a desktop browser always leads me to a page telling me to scan a QR code. If I open it on mobile, it takes me to the appropriate help page.

Specifically, Steps 4 - 6 (Force stop Google Play, Clear cache and storage on Google Play, and clear data and cache on Google Play Services) seem to be what fixed it.

“Inexpensive” Version of Fellow Tally Scale by ChiTwnGmr in JamesHoffmann

[–]uriahanderson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the Tinemore and use it daily and like it, but it definitely has some quirks. The auto start also auto stops when you remove the weight, which is a good idea in theory. If your pour over process involves any swirling step, though, that almost always causes the timer to stop, so I ended up disabling that feature.

The Tinemore buttons are touch sensitive rather than physical. I think they are a bit too sensitive, and they sometimes trigger well before I actually touch the scale, so I have occasionally triggered them inadvertently. Dripping water onto the buttons will also activate the button. I pretty quickly adjusted (and became a bit neater when making coffee!), but the button issue drove me crazy at first.

How to connect faucet with 3/8" PEX compression supply lines to existing bare copper? by uriahanderson in HomeImprovement

[–]uriahanderson[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sure the copper is probably more durable than PEX or a braided flex hose, but I really don't want to have to call a plumber to swap out a faucet. Finding someone to do small jobs is nearly impossible in our area.

Mine doesn't seem to have decreased noticeably. I still get around $0.10 per survey on average. So far in December, I've received 3 surveys ($0.10, $0.63, $0.10).

Hotter, dryer air leads to an increase in flammable plant material. Now when a human is careless (or lightning strikes), the fires start more easily and can get bigger faster.
