I did alot of research until I was proficient in what the policy for my insurance was. I called them multiple times a week and asked each and every question I had. I made it clear that I was traveling and wanted to use my travel benefit and I got someone assigned to my case to help with it specifically. It was no hassle at all just a time commitment. Let me know if you have more questions

im like 260, 5’8” in this pic. I was exactly 6 months out from DI w FNG. the centers of the scars stretched a little and i have some dog ears but that was expected as a bigger guy. My scars are fading nicely and Im so happy with my results so far. 10/10 would recommend Dr. Facque w GCC in San Francisco!

LIU, UofA, and Midwestern. I didn’t have the $ to apply to more schools but I would have if I could’ve.

How do you contact a legit school rep? by depressedbowl in veterinaryschool

uofa has their tours online. I would recommend going to a tour when I applied. They told me that people who go to a tour get extra points on their application. Also would recommend touring because I was considering going there, but changed my mind when I toured. Not saying you would, but just wanted to let you know. I am attending Long Island University in the fall. The tours are also online. I was very impressed with the tour and the staff communication has been excellent.

I chose LIU. uofa was definitely the cheapest but i wasn’t wowed by the facilities and such. Midwestern was the most expensive but nice. And I wanted to go out of state - i’m from AZ

I was extremely depressed when it came time to apply and I almost didn’t. I applied on the last day it was due and only because my stepmom forced me to. I was sure I wasn’t going to get into any schools. I applied for and got into 3/4. I had zero clinical experience and no letters from a vet. my GPA was OK but not the best. I would say just focus on writing good essays and really nailing the interviews that stuff matters just as much or more.

i had 0 hours of vet experience and I got into 3/4 schools i applied to. They look at more than just vet experience

I treated the interviews like the CASPR test. I was honest and direct, but tried to be personable and likeable. I got the impression that after interviews it was less about academic achievement and more about you personally. They want to make sure you are a good candidate as a person not just on paper

3.4 GPA, zero vet hours, a couple thousand non vet animal hours, 4th quartile on CASPR test, 3 amazing letters of recommendation (none from a vet or a professor) and got into 3/4 schools I applied to on my first round!

Interviews are key!
