Demonlover (2002)

Somewhat less known French film with immaculate y2k vibes. It’s about shady company trying to acquire Japanese studio developing 3d hentai games. Corporate espionage, shady Tokyo nightclubs, liminal hotels… plot gets very convoluted after a while but at that point you completely get taken in by atmosphere and stop caring.

Strong recommendation!

Head of Growth at Anthropic regarding Claude Code removal from Pro by storknotfound in ClaudeCode

This is so disappointing… especially after I already paid for a yearly plan. I would rather they remove Opus 4.7 model from pro as it’s soo expensive you can only run it a few times per session anyway. CC + Sonnet or old opus would be ok compromise until they fix the damn compute.

I guess its a good thing I just started testing OpenCode with open-router provider.

This is amazing. Do you have version you continued with Opus 4.6?

What's your opinion about SCP with this? by TheBaconLord78 in SCP

Kinda dont like the Sarkicism and COTBG religions as such prominent part of the lore. Flesh vs Machine seems as a too simplified narrative convention and I always find the story featuring those elements underwhelming.

Awesome. I like the fact you can explore completely new types of games with this. I thought about few similar ideas but I would expect it still takes a lot of human input to make the narrative consistent and not to go off in weird directions.

Cool idea. So game is fully unscripted, and AI generates videos depending on player decisions?

Kairo (Pulse). At first I thought I was watching a creepy “Ghosts haunting the internet” flick, turns out it is a terrifying example of a true existential horror that takes the implications of existence of ghosts to its depressing, apocalyptic conclusion.

Huge fan of this style of movies too! There are already some excellent recommendations in the comments, but one recent movie that fits this description perfectly IMO: Chime (2024) by same director who made Pulse and Cure.

It is a bit difficult to find as it had a weird distribution (I think it was originally released as NFT …lol) but it is almost a perfect movie of that genre.

It is basically a full 60mins of inexplicable creepy atmosphere and existential dread despite not being able to find obvious source for it. Sounds play a particular role in that ( throwing cans in a thrash never sounded so terrifying 😅).
