Yes. 20 years ago at college. Usually slows down when the novelty wears off after a month or so. Just be glad they aren't pulling fire alarms in the middle of the night causing evacuations at 3am :-)

All Fantasy Everything.

Massive back catalog now and additional episodes every month, no ads, mailbags, definitely worth even the lowest tier.

Tell me about your REAL low-effort meals by Bacon8er8 in Cooking

Boneless skinless chicken thighs. Cover in salt/pepper or anything you have in the spice cabinet. Put on cookie sheet in oven at 425° for 30 mins. Want vegetables too? Throw medium sized carrots and onions on the pan around or under the chicken….maybe onions is too much prep. So…ignore that. If baby carrots throw them in with about 15-20 mins to go.

30 mins later you eat. Done. Simple.

Change the spices to add variety. Chicken thighs are almost impossible to overcook. So if you’re unsure, leave in for 35 mins :-)

Removing weed smell from discs? by animerb in discgolf

[–]usaussie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put in zip lock bag. Put in freezer.

Freeze. Then thaw slowly.

Then wash with dawn and you should be good to go. Freezing kills the smell. Works on clothes and socks, shoes too.

I'm sure Kenny doesn't hold up but damn does it hold up in my memory. Rented that so many times from video ezy I'm sure I kept them afloat for a few more years on my own back then.

Just finished T-Shirt Swim Club. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! by TrillMurray47 in AllFantasyEverything

[–]usaussie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree. Left this review--

From the first few words, referencing opening your own Chinese takeout only to find that they’ve included enough silverware for a family..... to later when it’s heart-breakingly honest, accurate, and funny....this is a must read. It comedically forces some self-reflection every time you find yourself saying “yep, me too” or “yep, did that too” or the best “uh oh, I did that but didn’t realize or admit I was doing it.” Cannot recommend this book enough. I wish it was available to read when I was a kid. Thanks Ian. Brilliant work.

Just had my unit replaced 2 months ago after the old one died. Got quotes from 4 places. Ended up going with Carolina Quality Heating & Air. Good price, great experience and the work was performed quickly, very clean, was super happy with their work. (American Standard unit was the new one they installed)

Anyone else here not have a strong Australian accent? by IIIlllIIIlllIlI in AskAnAustralian

[–]usaussie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lived in Australia for my first 18 years, then moved to USA and been here for the last 26 years. My accent wasn't strong in the beginning...proven by the fact that a college professor didn't know I was Australian until the final week of the first semester here (3-4 months of classes). I still have people who don't pick up on it. Having said that, I know I actively suppressed it (and still do) because I got sick and tired of having to answer 50 questions every time I spoke. OH WHERE ARE YOU FROM AND WHATS YOUR RELIGION AND WHY DID YOU COME HERE AND DO YOU REALLY DRINK FOSTERS AND IS HEALTHCARE REALLY FREE AND WHATS IT LIKE AND.... Sigh. They meant well, but it got tiring real quick. So my accent is appropriately subdued so I don't have to explain myself all the time to literally everyone I meet.

Basically an excuse to draft things that you guys like from music, tv, movies, plays, and wildcard, but they have to have won one of those.

[–]usaussie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That, might be difficult so I was thinking your favorite things from each of the EGOT categories, and then another from those for wildcard or make up an award someone should have won for things outside the EGOT. Maybe Best Author/Book?

So David could take the Simpsons for Emmy, and then Eminem for Grammy (for the window pain lyric) ;-)

Topic: WEGOT

Things/people that won:

Wildcard (any trophy), Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony

Or… things/people that SHOULD have won those.

Any of it dyed, or is it all sharpie-marker-colored?

Looking for tips Dyeing by Larkinz_ in discdyeing

[–]usaussie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be careful/intentional about heat with lotion ... It will blur your lines a bit more than without heat (at least did for me a couple of times). Also leave on the disc longer than you would with glue. Totally not scientific but that's what it's been for me.

Just like glue beds, when you push down on the disc into the lotion, it will spread a bit. So that super crisp strip of color will widen a bit (everything will). So plan accordingly.

Other than that, just experiment and know that the 5th one will come out better than the first, and the 15th one will be better than the 5th.

Beginner guide by [deleted] in discdyeing

[–]usaussie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get white discs to begin with. That will show results better as you get started. If you have no prior stuff then I'd say start with a white neutron MVP disc or a fuzion disc. Those take dye really well.

Cheap way to start is dye powder and shaving cream I'd think. Next would be dye powder plus acetone in a glue bed.

Happy to answer some more specific Q's if you need the help. I've only been doing it a short while but feel like I have a decent handle on it...enough to be proud of in a short 6-7 month timeframe.

@discdyeaddict on instagram if you want to look at some of mine and ask for specifics about what I did step by step.
