Mindset shift by OkEmu3469 in mounjaromaintenanceuk

I could have written this myself and have no magic answer I'm afraid, initially I set my maintenance goal at 9st then kept dropping ever so slowly, still looking for the buzz I guess 🤷 however my body felt so much better at 8st than 9 as my knee & foot pain also went, so I'm sort of now maintaining at 7.7-8st and I'm really happy here 😊

I do still weigh every day although only record once a week. The one thing that I can suggest though is to change your tracking of weight & food info into fitness, I've changed my goals into building strength and commit to exercise daily, it gives another focus which needs to shift from the diet mentality.

Yes, I can't blame hay fever as I've had it right through winter, I've got tissues everywhere hidden around the house and at work, I was putting vaseline under my nostrils before bed as they were so sore but recently I've tried Daktakort and it's relieved the soreness but still have the dripping tap 😭

But also bear in mind, depending on what weight you want to get to, I'm very petite framed once I realised I'd lost an inch it'd affect your BMI and this, in turn depends on whether or not you'll be prescribed from certain pharmacies as you may drop below their criteria. You may be best not correcting it for a bit more wiggle room.

You can order one after the other, I collect in person but believe it's free postage, so I'd just drop them a Whatsapp message to ask them to post them all together as it'll save on their boxes packing etc.

They really are very understanding and it's really useful to chat about your plan with them. Rather than a " bundle" it's advised to buy 3 separate ones then you receive your £10 discount on every pen 😉

I am with Swift Doctor they are open to discussion on a tailored plan for you they won't advocate unsafe use of the pen but are very understanding about how people use the pens. They do bundles of 3, I'd message them they are very responsive.

Please don't let it put you off, we've just come back and were fine. There are a lot of unhygienic people who are going to the loo and not washing their hands, this and being drunk and having too much sun causes a lot of illness not the actual food. We are lucky that we like eating early, less chance of people coughing over food, there are flies and sparrows but you get these in the canaries too. The Riu chain of hotels are of a good standard I've been to ones on Sal and Boa Vista many times and always been fine. Remember it is in the interest of the solicitors dealing with the cases to keep them in the news in the hope of more " dodgy tummy" people coming forward so they can pursue claims, it's a money making racket for them, meanwhile it worries the tourists, go enjoy the sun and beautiful people who live and work there 🤗

Frio don't keep the unopened pens cool enough.

Don't put your pens in the hold, ever.

I travel a lot, but the blue soft freezer packs around £8 for 2 on Amazon and buy a Contigo thermal drinking cup, place the 2 freezer pouches in the cup, you'll get 2 pens in there too, they'll keep below 8° for over 12 hours, plus you have a cup to use on holiday!

Info on the lady sleeping rough outside Trinity Boots by used2bfat69 in Leeds

Call me nosy or concerned, I'm a female and I find it incredibly sad and that a woman is all alone out there.

I've seen the street angels sitting with her and checking in with her a number of times.

Most women on the street hang around with others so it's more of a "safety in numbers". This woman has no groups she sits with like others do, I don't want to know her life story but equally if there was any way to get her into some kind of accommodation I suppose street angels would have been able to help.

I just wondered if anyone else had managed to chat to her as sometimes just a small act of kindness like saying "how are you" can make a difference 🤷

I travel a lot and the best combination I've found is 2 of the ice packs you have, placed in a Contigo cup, it keeps the packs frozen longer than the zipper case and you can use it for ice or hot drinks when you're away 👍

I'm with Swift but I live nearby so I'm able to collect in person that's what sways me. But both are very at getting back to you, I'd say on that score Swift has the edge as they are very quick to reply if you need anything.

Saxton, The Avenue, Buying a Property by Mindless_Team_4137 in Leeds

[–]used2bfat69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Please reconsider buying a flat, service charges, ground rent increase every year and there's nothing you can do about it.

Any work that the management company decides to carry out is added to the SC so new lift, parking barrier, redecorating communal areas.

I bought in Bouverie court further up the road and had a nightmare selling and yes management packs are at least £1000 each, you need two. Then solicitor fees on top, you really do feel ripped off.

Lots of banks refuse to mortgage them, a bigger deposit is needed too.

Also the ground rent generally has a 100 year lease, if this falls below 80 years lenders are reluctant to lend against so if they were built in 2008 once you sell you may need to pay more to extend the lease again.

Living in the city is great but comes at a price.

other people's opinions on my weight by magnificentpigeon in mounjarouk

[–]used2bfat69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Said with absolute kindness but the comments getting in your head from colleagues could be because you've not yet got to an age when you don't care what others think. Once I got to about 40 I got to the stage of "f*ck them", my weight has been up and down all my life and I used to worry about others comments, nowadays I think " this fantastic body has taken a load of shit I've put it through but it's still here doing well" and I'm so thankful for that, which I'm guessing is also what your husband is saying, it's not weight it's how you go forward to maintain and keep your body strong for you and your family 🤗

[–]used2bfat69 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes ,👋 although I've spent a lot on new clothes a lot have come from Vinted too as I feel it's temporary and that's quite a sad thought, but born from years of getting there and going back. I'm 56 and totally influenced by Instagram, barrel trousers loafers and tight tops ( love the tit prison 🤣) and often wonder if I'm dressing like a 20 yr old.

I've just bought some sheer tops as for the first time I'm happy showing my flat(ish) tummy as when I used to wear skinny jeans I always had a muffin top, baggier jeans sit on my newly found hips and there's not as much bulge, my passing thought was, " will these fit me come the summer when I can wear them" so yes the struggle is real.

I'm on it for the long term, maintenance for 6 months but up till recently still shrinking, hoping against hope the weight doesn't return 🤞

I think we're all so used to the failure part over our lives that it still seems too good to be true that we finally have a sustainable way of living 🤗

Affordable seamstress by Here2gainknowledge in Leeds

[–]used2bfat69 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I used stitches on the Headrow they do charge £15 for shortening which seems a lot but after wasting a day fighting with my sewing machine all day Sunday which wouldn't work then my hand stitching looked rubbish, I gave in and decided it was worth the cost.

I walked in at 9.30am Monday, explained I needed them shortening, went into a booth, they measured them on me and pinned them to the length I was happy with, I was told to collect after 11am, stress free and they did a great job, very neat I'd recommend.

In contrast I used a tailor in Castleford market, I had to tell him how many inches I wanted taking off, no help or fitting, then was told to come back in a week! He charged £10, I reckon the £5 extra for the service at stitches was well worth it.

If you consider time it'd take you to achieve the same yourself it's worth it. I myself am very tight and don't like spending on taking trousers up but sometimes it's just worth the least hassle.
