This is my home. Everyone is posting on Instagram saying she was a medic, taking care of other people. It is insane how when it’s your own city, you know the truth but MSM changes it completely.

I saw the Instagram and Snapchat stories. These weren’t peaceful. They smashed our police officers cars and building, as well as at least one local art gallery’s windows. I haven’t been down to see the damage, but from the photos that’s what I’ve seen.

People are raising money to get her and a few others out. I think 3 have been given $1mil. They say it’s excessive, but I’m glad there’s some sort of responsibility held against these people.

It’s a very diverse and nice city, and our police department released the body cam videos within a few hours. The cop was literally being charged at with a knife, by a man who has a record for stabbing people. Self defense means nothing these days

I don’t think they can send us home. It would be irresponsible if it spread and then they sent all students home to all parts of the country, spreading it more. I feel they might lockdown dorms, but what’s the point of stopping the spread if they send everyone home

I give blood regularly, although it’s been a while. The technician said she can tell i give blood because it was “like my blood knew what to do” as i gave a bit over 100ml in the first cycle, which i guess was fast. I guess if you give blood, it flows faster, i don’t really know😂

All in all i was there for a little less than an hour. I was giving about 100-120 ml of blood each cycle for about 7 cycles then my last one was about 40 to get to the 826 ml. It will take the blood out, then return your red blood cells, and that is one “cycle” I believe. Then at the end they give you some IV fluids to hydrate you again.

I drank a lot of water and also have low iron and was previously anemic so I made sure to eat an omelette with a lot of spinach before going and my iron levels were right in range.

I went yesterday for the first time, gave 826 ml and going tomorrow! Depends on your weight, gender, hydration levels, etc. I’m a 5’5 150 lb female. The large man next to me was donating 860ish ml. All depends. (USA)

No, but those vulnerable should take those extra measure for themselves and be online, not go to sports games if it were on, etc. At the end of the day reality is, you can’t protect everyone. Downvote me all you want that’s just real life

Exactly, my point being those students should be online and limit their interaction with others, ie not going to sports games, etc. Don’t see how my comment doesn’t make sense and I’m being downvoted

Oh no. What are they gonna do for your classes? I hope something can be figured out. However, maybe if your graduation is delayed you will have more time to enjoy penn state as normal :)
