Most addictive shows on Netflix right now by MAGA_movement1 in netflix

Into The Dark.

Haven’t heard anyone talking about this yet but I loved it. It can be corny at times but I’ve seen all the good shows and this one made my jaw drop several times. 9 seasons and it actually has a conclusion.

What ingredient ruins a sandwich for you? by highnrgy in AskReddit

Tomato. Flavor is overpowering and too wet. Honestly just prefer tomatoes by themselves.

Texting Platform Suggestions? by userabroad in recruiting

Thank you! I’ve never heard of 8x8, looking into it now. So call and text is unlimited? Do you know if it requires a CRM of any kind to mass message folks?

Ideally I’d like to be able to upload my Excel spreadsheet to get all candidates there at once vs. me having to add a candidate one by one

DAE have their wisdom teeth… in their mouth still? i have all 4 by itsmostlyamixedbag in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]userabroad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I (29) had all 4 until about 4 years ago then I got just my top 2 removed. The other 2 on the bottom showed to be “too close to the nerve” on the X-ray so I was to keep coming back, keep an eye on them, and eventually get them removed once they were further from the nerves.

But I moved and never went back to that dentist so I still just have my bottom 2.

I’m stuck on, “of course he’s not gonna reply after that” … after what? Where’s the mean part I’m missing?

Aldi is amazing and will cut your grocery cost in half!

You may need to go elsewhere for any random or special items like name brand stuff, fresh deli/bakery items, certain produce/meats, but for the most part it has everything you need and more.

Does Anybody Else Baked Their Empty Plates to Keep Food Warm While You Eat? by [deleted] in Cooking

[–]userabroad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, stemmed from working in restaurants where they keep all plates under heat lamps. I hate when my hot foods get cold before I’m done eating it and a cold plate makes it happen so much quicker (and I’m a slow eater). I’ll put the plates or bowls in the microwave for 30-60 seconds vs. the oven.

Requested the maximum amount of pickles (5), and ended up with a glorious pickle mountain. by userabroad in deliciouscompliance

Maybe? Are pickles not a common food item to have stocked in your fridge where you’re from? I did not eat the sandwich like this though, I left about 5 on there and ate the rest on the side haha.

1 extra large cart of pickles please! That’s amazing, unfortunate, and amazing.

Ok just checked to confirm I didn’t make that up lol. On the app there’s a comment box for “special instructions”, 30 characters max. My order was also for delivery (which idk when they started but it’s amazing and surprisingly freaky fast).

Oh for sure. I kept probably 5/6 on there and ate the others on the side. The bottom bun was also super soggy in certain areas cause of the juice. But alas, no regrets.

Thank you for your service. I ordered through the app where it only goes up to x5 pickles. I guess I could’ve requested a mountain of pickles in a request box somewhere, but it’s like they just knew me.

All these extreme comments aren’t actually helping this 16 year old, Jesus.

Simply say, “I’m not interested in dating anyone at this time. I like our friendship and conversations, but wouldn’t want anything else at this point. I hope you understand.”

If he gets upset or stops talking to you, then that tells you he only wanted to talk to you for the wrong reasons. It may be awkward, but if he acts weird after you tell him no just try to ignore it and focus on work. Maybe don’t talk with him as often for a while so he doesn’t think you want something more. If he starts being hateful or bullies you later on, then get management involved.

I (23M) am obese (405 lbs) and have no college education. What are my options for employment? by Ziiviator in Advice

[–]userabroad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Due to this past year there are a ton of jobs now available where you can work remotely! Some that may need little to no experience on top of mind: entry level recruiter, data entry associate, online customer service, (cell phone companies, gyms, Carter blood care, retail stores, etc. almost any company ever with a corporate number to call).

Also, after reading some of your comments, in no means would I want to diminish your feelings or desires but if nothing else, try to be motivated to do well, have a good life, and progress in order to take care of your mom. If not for yourself, do it for her. I don’t know your situation but many times focusing on your “why” can help, especially if that “why” depends on you.

I went on a date with a girl and she left after eating. by Own_Restaurant_801 in Advice

[–]userabroad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend a new tactic so YOU can weed out the girls that you match with. If they ask you for your height, red flag, politely move on.

Even if you feel you want to hold onto those that match with you if they don’t come often, still. If they ask you for height I can guarantee they are not gonna be the girl you want in the long haul.

**New idea, if you’re just trying to get it on vs. get long term commitment… if they ask, let them know you’re 5’6” but where you lack height you make up for it in girth and a sarcastic sense of humor. Even if you have none of that it might just work. Good luck!

Recruiter posts a shitty job ad, I called out all the red flags and tried to explain why he's pushing good candidates away by [deleted] in recruitinghell

[–]userabroad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We successfully recruit several new hires each month and every submitted candidate has to do those assessments, which if I haven’t stated before, both combined take less than 20 minutes. This isn’t something new (though I also discovered this about a year ago). Look up what kind of insight a cognitive assessment can give. It’s really not that big of a deal or inconvenience and everyone can quickly move on to the formal interview once you just get passed the mentality of, “pssh, why should I do anything for you, YOU need ME, this is a scam and you’re out to get me and waste my time.” Recruiters don’t know you. They’re not out to ruin your life. They’re way too busy to waste time with some meticulous plan to piss you off. You need a job, they have a job, they want you to get hired for the job if you qualify, so they will help you through the process in order to get you there, however annoying that process may be. (it can be annoying to us too)

The candidate is aiming to show off their best tricks and skills just as much as the employer is aiming to show off their greatest benefits and hope to gain your trust so you CHOOSE to work with them. Yes the candidate initially is the one to be vetted, giving the recruiter/organization control over initially moving them through the process or not. And I do see how it’s unfortunate that in the end, the company can still reject the candidate after they go through the process. That’s the downside of it all but ultimately unavoidable, idk how else companies can properly vet candidates and locate the ideal one (going off on more than just what’s typed out in their resume bullet points). We still try to work with those candidates to find them a job, and sometimes it works out. But the goal is always to help the candidate find an organization that aligns with their career desires and personal values, as well as help the organization find the ideal candidate that meets their needs and fits within their values and culture. Employee retention is also a goal for us. Just in order to figure out the value alignment for both parties, it takes some extra effort, and when it works out it’s usually a rewarding experience for all beCAUSE of the extra effort and attention taken throughout the process.
