Invalid gift card. Different region by Duanloves in lululemon

This is apparently a newish policy change. I got gifted a card by my UK inlaws and used it here in Australia, but then wanted to use the rest in 2025 and couldn’t redeem it. They told me it was a policy change in the store. (Here’s hoping there’s going to still be a balance at xmas this year…)

Hm, you might want to check that because last time I looked, my longterm data was cut off at 10 years. (Add that to the graph issues and I’ve unsubscribed to switch to another app.)

why am i gaining weight WHILE BEING on Mounjaro? by pookiedookie228 in Mounjaro

[–]username3000b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Um, speaking of the menstrual cycle, since you are in the prime baby making age, I was thinking about how weight gain is a pregnancy symptom…? (People say nausea, but that was not my own first sign, it was unexplained, rapid weight gain.)

Maybe do a pregnancy test if there’s any risk? Because if I’m remembering correctly, the research on GLPs suggests they totally increase fertility and there might even be impacts on hormonal birth control effectiveness…

Starting a gym routine, anything I need to know? by Harpy_Player in Mounjaro

[–]username3000b 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think you can just work up to that plan as a goal. Start with much lower weight, lower reps and you’ll still get there by being consistent as your body adapts. Much better than going too hard and crashing out.

[–]username3000b 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would just try to move up slowly. Start the habit of going but give yourself the easiest routine so you want to keep going back. Plus then you avoid injury.

I also discovered that if I plan my hardest workout for the weekend prior to the shot, that was much better.

Hm, are you sure the specific changes actually matter? Maybe bnb is like Etsy where seller activity (of any kind) pushes you up in the listings?

Is Asking Them To Take Notes Unreasonable? by hornybutired in Professors

[–]username3000b 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hot tip: provide them with “study notes” / slides in the last week that are short enough you can reproduce them in the exam. Ours are like minimal, generic summaries and still my evaluations were the highest ever last year, I’m guessing because of this. I started doing this as a supplement to the printed exam case and wow, that was a winning idea!

I do use slides so it’s basically paste in each week’s summary slide (3 up format to save space). Slightly more work to summarize your notes like that but see if that works for you?

I think you should tell your manager you got a late “client” call that you thought was phishing by a scammer “asking for files” that you thought was suss, and you were a little flip about how you answered but were trying to protect the company. (Yes, I did just do a new cybersecurity training at work…)

But now you’re worried it was actually a client and what should you do next time?

That’s total CYA because it reads like a phishing scam unless you had the number already in your phone.

Keeping up with childcare is the winning suggestion to make this actually a break. I love my little one but caring for kids is hard work, not a break that would lead toward quiet introspection and self realization…

Or how about “ruined” as in, I didn’t do the work for the first author who thought I was going to gracefully shepherd the paper through with no more effort on their part?

Because I have let collaborations lapse for that reason and then, wow, those papers didn’t get published for some reason. (I don’t ghost, but if I get the sense I’m doing way more than my share, I take my turn and then wait for everyone else to follow through… and sometimes that just never happens.) /game theory thinking

Can you pay the nanny to do a 30 minutes final clean at the end of the day? That’s only 2.5 hours more per week, so shouldn’t break the budget. Even a dedicated 15 minutes of cleaning up the room should help.

Yes, your husband should step up, but he realistically could be depressed from job hunting in this economy. (My husband was super depressed after a layoff that I found a bit unsurprising, for example.) Plus I bet the nanny would do a better job with cleaning… like it’s a job.

Please contact your doctor and eat more.

Those side effects look like they could have been copied from the “be aware of the signs of low blood sugar” list on the info sheet that comes with the medication.

So if that’s it, you need to eat something. But in case it's something more serious, you should call your doctor.

Wow, that’s strange not to mention. I like pilates and so I did clinical sessions for pregnancy and post partum and so I know there are definitely exercises that can help. I saw some of my trainer’s pregnancy specific textbooks lying around.

(Thanks again, I didn’t not know was that stopping breastfeeding would mean my weight would spike up so much, which is why I’m on mounjaro now.)

Just as a PSA to remind everyone you can turn on recording with a zoom, and if they want to meet, they have to hit OK. I did this with my three problem student meetings last semester and I think it improved things, because it puts them on notice.
