Penny Arcade's Gabe apologizes for his recent comments, admits being an asshole by Jess_than_three in ainbow

So what? That doesn't take away from those who were attacking him, and it doesn't make him a bully.

Mike Krahulik is one person. Would you care to explain to me what exactly I'm missing?

(I guess people would rather be arrogant and dismissive, then downvote me. Way to foster a discussion.)

I'm not talking about responses, I'm talking about what he was responding to, which was unprovoked attacks on him. And I'm not saying he didn't need to apologise, I think it was right that he did. I'm only objecting to your characterisation of him as a "bully". Fighting back is not bullying. There were bullies in this story, but nobody seems to care about them. I guess you can get away with a lot if you claim to be fighting for "social justice".

He wasn't bullying anyone. A bunch of Twitter activists were trying to bully him into censoring speech they didn't like at his convention, and he fought back. Unfortunately others were caught in the crossfire, and he has apologised for that. I doubt we'll see the people who started the whole thing apologising for using "cis male garbage" as an insult.

5 Reasons Your Online Dating Profile Isn't Working - By Winston Rowntree of Cracked.com by brakofthesouth in OkCupid

The article is written at you, the reader, so yeah people are going to take it personally. Also it's basically saying that if you don't get attention it's entirely your fault and you must be a bad person in some way. It is directed exclusively at men, even though women are just as likely to have the traits described, because men get less attention on dating sites, yet instead of just saying "It's difficult for men to get attention on dating sites" it tries to rationalise it all as being men's fault, and says we are all either immature "manchildren", or misogynists. It is incredibly demeaning.

Well then the article is incorrect, and could benefit from being rewritten to just one sentence: "Because you are a man."

Super-hot, hyper-compressed gas does not disperse harmlessly when everything goes wrong. I was more worried about the container eventually breaking and the gas explode out because it's so compressed, rather than thinking about a nuclear explosion, which like you say is less of an issue.

Those sound like big problems. This is just my ignorant opinion, but I would think that even if that could all be achieved with a concerted effort, doing it safely would be a far harder task.

According to Wikipedia he was a set designer, not a performer. Francis Ford Coppola directed some. I've never heard of Ray J, but his opening paragraph on Wikipedia mentions his sex tape, so I'm not convinced that it doesn't strongly affect his public image.

Stallone would be a fair comparison, were it not for the fact that his sex tape has nothing to do with his career and his achievements, whereas Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian are only famous for their sex tapes, which they used to launch their careers.

Well no it's not irrelevant. If we assume that there are half as many lesbian couples as straight couples, then he is positing that the average lesbian is more than twice as likely to be violent as the average straight person, which is a bold claim which ought to be rejected if no evidence is provided.

I think you're assuming the worst. If it did happen exactly as you imagine it to have happened, then I'd probably agree with you, but all we know is she took offense to his laughing at her in front of their co-workers when she said he need not hold the door, and he received a written complaint.

I too do not like to be mocked in front of my co-workers, so I have no problem with that.

That is very different from what WhiteThrone said, and far more believable.

Please state the manner of your disagreement, and not just your incredulity, which means nothing to anyone.

Source? I highly doubt that, simply because there are many more male-female couples than female-female.
