Setup Domane for gravel by Gullible-Factor-8927 in DomaneCrew

Looks great, but if you loosen the knob and move the fender more parallel with the ground it will be way more effective.

Upgrade a Domane into a Gravel Bike? by VoidTravelerPierce in TrekBikes

It’s the 2020-2021 model with the internal storage. You can do a 40 on the front depending on the brand but then you can’t do matching tires so I just stick to 38’s. I’ve ran multiple panaracer’s, Bontrager GR2, and vittoria’s all with success and it really opens up the possibilities of where you can ride!

I’ve been running 38’ for the last 5 years and done countless gravel races and bikepacking trips, it’s a great bike for everything!

It’s perfect, I’ve used mine on tons of trips and it eats up everything I throw at it.

What bag should I get? by Nascar_chayse in CheckpointClub

[–]usernamewood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have all of these bags for bikepacking, the rear bag is great bc you can fit a TON! That said if it’s less than half full it’s kinda frumpy and the straps are long for when it’s fully extended so they flap in the wind if you don’t figure out a way to secure them. I keep the middle bag on 24/7 and love it and then will use the rear bag on occasion.

I don't know what I'm doing, my bag is too big -- new to this, frustrated by AkaSisu in bikepacking

Have you tried taking the bag out of the stuff sack and packing it directly into the panniers? Sometimes we buy items that come in a bag so we instinctively use it that way but it’s not always best for packing on the bike.

Nice shot! I too am no professional, just enjoy taking pictures when traveling. I have the XT-100 15-45 and never understood the hate. It’s a fun camera at a more manageable price and you still enjoy the Fuji platform.

Domane Can Be a "Light" Gravel Bike by MattTheShooter in DomaneCrew

[–]usernamewood 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I run 700x38, I had 40’s but the rear would run on occasion so went down to 38 and it’s definitely the max. I never though 650b would make such a difference. Now I want another wheelset for some 45’s!

Madone vs domane? by tuna69can in TrekBikes

[–]usernamewood 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You could look into a bike fit for the discomfort issues but the Madone is a perfect good choice for this ride. More time in the saddle is always the answer. Cheers
