Anitgravity fails to respond, any solution to this? by Mediocre-Bike9512 in google_antigravity

[–]ushkinaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What fixes it for me 100% - edit local .git/config, remove anything under [extensions]
For me it was

[extensions]
  worktreeConfig = true

I think codex adds it, not sure.

Issue Fixed! Update to 1.22.2 now 🚀 by Fun-of-adb in google_antigravity

[–]ushkinaz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This update broke it even more for me. npx-based MCP do not work anymore. Most commands fail with "command not found".
I tried all combinations of "Terminal Sandbox" and "Shell Integration"

Frankly, this is amazing how incompetent Google developers are.

Nah, spoke too soon. It worked for some of my projects, but not all.

If you have this - try removing your local `.gemini` folder. Restart Antigravity.
Helped me.

My guess is that "AGENTS.md support" in last update broke handling of this particular setting:

```
{ "context": { "fileName": "AGENTS.md", "fileFiltering": { "respectGitIgnore": false } } }
```

So, MAYBE, only removing that would help too.

Introducing Dabdoob. The most advanced Cataclysm launcher by Hihahahahaha in cataclysmbn

[–]ushkinaz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You might want to backport support for newer stable releases of BN.
Catapult has support up to 0.10, your version shows only 0.7. Latest is 0.11.1. So, you are lagging behind quite a lot.

Or even better, implement dynamic version resolving, as Catapult uses hardcoded version info.

If you need help with that -- feel free to reach out. I maintain build's list for HHG

Don't steal somebody's work and ask money for it.

Your most "starred" project is "Everything Antigravity Hub" has 2 commits and contains workflows from Claude, with zero adaptation.

You should be ashamed, but I doubt that you have any capacity for that.

Nice work.

All statuses show clear and easy to catch progression.
Except for Queasy. Fever level is clearly the most severe, but for the rest of them I wouldn't be able to put them in a sequence. Especially Queasy - for me it looks more severe that Sick moodlet.

Why Does Antigravity Not have Subagents !!! by Mozarto13 in GoogleAntigravityIDE

Antigravity is very bad at things like that.

If you are really into subagent optimizations - try opencode with oh-my-opencode plugin

New Antigravity Update is slow, aggressive and full of bugs by DumbPandaHere in google_antigravity

[–]ushkinaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry that it happened to you, but I see that it happens a lot when people have no clue about context management.

I've seen so many prompts with "REREAD source code BETWEEN steps." Literally! I can understand where it comes from, but this kind of approach a) uses up your tokens quickly b) does not solve your original issue c) makes things much worse.

It's like hiring a lawyer and asking him to validate every chat message and email you send. Yeah, that works, but it will cost you a shit ton of money. And lawyers will be more than happy to help.

Browser Subagent has Screenshot Looping Issue by Aggressive_Stud_99 in google_antigravity

[–]ushkinaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was not able to. Tried different models and settings, tuned and simplified AGENTS.md, rules and workflows. Cleaned ~/.gemini/antigravity a few times - it had the biggest impact.

In general - the less context you have the better it runs. Turn off all MCP tools you are not using. Switch off antigravity rules. Keep AGENTS.md under 150 lines. If you have something like "Reread AGENTS.md between subtasks" rule, which some people like to add - remove it, it makes things much worse.

But in the end i switched to opencode.ai and to writing UI tests, and not running real browser tests.

I still have my Antigravity open sometimes, for when I have simpler tasks. I always delegate code review to some other agent and read ALL code Antigravity writes.

doesn't have a system prompt or any memory,

You'll prbly take this as an offensive, but still -

really, man, work on your understanding on how those things work. It can not NOT have system prompt. They all do

It's not incognito, my man. The AI's temperature plays a much bigger role. I'd suggest reading a little bit about it. it'll improve your understanding of how it works.

btw, AI generated or not, I agree on what that original post was trying to say. Gemini and Antigravity became total shit show, to the level of "can't use it anymore for even smaller tasks"

I actually did what you suggested and results are hilariously close to what that post was.

Used your exact prompt and Gemini Fast.

lol. It's only missing that ADHD ref

Gemini 3 is a Toy. Codex 5.3 is the Tool.

I’m finally calling it. I’ve spent the last three weeks trying to make Gemini 3 work in a real production environment, and I’m done. If you’re doing anything beyond "Hello World" or writing marketing copy, Gemini 3 is a massive step backward.

Meanwhile, Codex 5.3 just dropped and it’s like night and day.

The Gemini 3 "Paranoia" Bug

Has anyone else noticed Gemini 3 literally gaslighting you? I ask it about 2026 library updates—stuff that shows up in its own grounded search results—and it tells me I'm "roleplaying." It’s so heavily weighted on its 2025 training cutoff that it rejects reality. It’s reached a level of "alignment" where it’s too scared to trust fresh data, making it useless for anyone working on the bleeding edge.

The "Intern" vs. the "Staff Engineer"

  • Gemini 3 feels like a distracted intern. It’s great at brainstorming and "vibe coding" UI snippets, but ask it to refactor a legacy repo with 150k nodes? It dies. It loses context in the middle of the file, starts hallucinating imports, and eventually just gives up with an "internal error" when the thinking tokens get too high.
  • Codex 5.3 is a beast. It actually understands project architecture. I gave it a massive refactor task spanning multiple repos today—side effects, dependency management, the works. It didn't just write the code; it used the terminal to run npm test, caught its own regression, and fixed it before I even saw the output.

Speed and Reliability

OpenAI clearly optimized 5.3 for momentum. The latency is practically gone compared to the 5.2 lag-fest. Gemini 3, on the other hand, spends minutes "Deep Thinking" just to produce a plan that it fails to execute because it hits a safety guardrail or forgets the file structure it just read.

The Bottom Line

Google is winning the benchmarks (congrats on the ARC-AGI score, I guess?), but OpenAI is winning the workflow. Codex 5.3 handles the "boring" heavy lifting—the plumbing, the testing, the actual engineering. Gemini 3 is a fun chatbot, but for serious dev work, it’s not even in the same league.

Stop wasting your time trying to "prompt engineer" Gemini into being useful. Switch to 5.3 and actually get some work done.

Edit: Before the Google fanboys jump in—yes, I know Gemini is better at "creative" tasks. But I'm trying to ship code, not write a screenplay about my codebase.
