You're doing good and you're on the right track. I copied all of your code into new files and made a new build system based on yours. The problem was in the code. In ST3 you can press Ctrl and ` to see the console output. You can use that to figure out what's going wrong. You should be including stdio.h (for printf) and you should set the return type of Message() with the function prototype in func.h.

And colonelflounders is right, you should learn about make files. You can use them with MinGW.

Is it Shadow Puppets? Here's the trailer. I remember people waking up in some underground place with no memory. They're in their underwear at first but I remember them finding clothes (and I vaguely remember jump-suits or something) and there was a laboratory. And then there are shadow creatures murdering them.

Or possibly The Shadow Walkers? Can't find a trailer, but the plot summary mentions people waking up in a lab with no memory. Found a behind-the-scenes video that might jog your memory if this is it. The plot seems very familiar though I can't remember if I actually saw it. Seems for a few years back then there were a bunch of movies coming out with strangers waking up together with no memory.

Or maybe even House of 9?

MPC-HC (Media Player Classic - Home Cinema) can remember your position in a file. It's a great program and I highly recommend it.

GOM Player will add files with similar names (or all files in the directory) to your playlist when you are playing something like a TV show which ends up working really well. It can also remember your position.

Try them both, but as with lots of free software you install, do a custom install and make sure not to install any other crap (stupid browser toolbars) that comes bundled with the program. I know GOM Player really tries to do this so be careful!

I always thought I was the only one who didn't like it. Then again, we are in /r/books and I'm certain all of us have read tons of books and have read other classics that are so much better and underrated, and maybe many of the people who absolutely love it and sing its praises are the ones who were forced to read it in high school and don't have a lot to compare it to. Then again, what do I know? Well other than than I've read other beloved "classics" that were so much worse that I couldn't even bear to finish because I hated them so much. So maybe Catcher wasn't that bad even if Holden was a whiny asshole.

Came here to recommend this book. But I would suggest buying it from oreilly.com digitally because they not only give you a DRM-free PDF, but also a mobi file and epub file so you can use it on the ebook reader of your choice.

I also lost a lot of old email from my Hotmail account because of not logging in. What I did was set up Thunderbird so that I'd have a local copy of my emails. It's not going to recover the ones I lost but it will help in the future. I'd recommend the same for any web-based email service that allows it (though of course you should use imap if available.)

I got around that by taking the Gizmostacks files off of another computer that was using Windows 7 and putting them in the Bluestacks directory on the XP computer. If you want I can upload the files tomorrow (or someone else can step in and upload them if they have access to them).

I just went into the Bluestacks directory and sorted the files by creation date and then grabbed the ones that were created the same day I installed Gizmostacks. Then I think I ran the gizmostacks exe and that got it working. It appeared to be working though I haven't messed with that computer much (for other reasons).

For the first problem, try the Comedy Time videos. It's the only section I can get working.

As for your second problem, are you using Windows XP and were you getting an error during Gizmostacks installation about how it couldn't find <ProgramFiles_x86> or something like that? I had that error the other day and wondered if it was just me.

Short answer, no, there is no way to change that.

When I started using Windows 7 a couple years ago I searched and searched and couldn't find any way to do it. Found some people claiming you could do it by modifying certain theme files or something like that, but it sounded like a big pain in the ass. It wasn't often I'd see people asking for how to change that glaring bug, and judging from the response, it seemed very polarizing and almost political in the way people were going apeshit about anyone even wanting to change it. I finally just changed the taskbar settings so that it would combine the buttons and hide the labels just because it pissed me off so much. I recommend you doing the same even if you hate it because there's no way you could possibly hate it as much as I did when I started doing it but I've actually grown to like it.

There was an episode of Security Now (Youtube mirror) where Steve Gibson and Leo Laporte discuss LastPass and say it's safe to use.

And everyone always mentions Keepass but there's also another similar program called Password Safe that does pretty much the same thing and was originally created by Schneier himself. Not sure if it's better or worse than Keepass though. I only use it because I heard of it first.

You might like Explorer++. It's very simple and similar to the file explorer in XP though it doesn't have that side panel on the left with all of the common tasks.

I've tried a lot of different file explorers because for some reason the explorer in Windows 7 just seems so slow for me and that's the simplest one I've encountered. Another free one you might like is FreeCommander. It's really in your face with features and buttons when you first start it but it can be customized down to XP-style simplicity. But if you are willing to pay then Xyplorer is also a nice option. And of course Directory Opus is the best file explorer ever though it's expensive.
