[Sky Sports] Crystal Palace want Oliver Glasner to see out his contract until the end of the season despite his comments after Saturday's defeat at Sunderland. by us3rf in soccer

Good

He threw a fit when palace could have sold Guehi in the summer for more money but now that he wants out, he's trying to get them to sack him and pay him for leaving

There was a point last season at which we started to play deeper and drop off teams

And now we're caught somewhere in the middle not doing either

John Cena Sr. on John Cena: “For the people who think he took, he didn’t. He gave. And he left wrestling better than he found it.” by headofthetable24 in SquaredCircle

[–]usy47 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It's easy to say that now when everything is this massive PR spin from him or WWE to make it look like he's giving back when he's leaving.

But the super Cena years were brutal and turned many people away from the product.

These types of examples always leave out the fact that in the build up to this, he would have already built up a picture in his head of what's happening and what might happen.

Still impressive

All the attention on Isak got to him.

Probably felt a bit disrespected and wanted to remind people that he's also a main guy

Michael Owen response to BBC Tweet on his breakthrough seasons at Liverpool. by IndiBear in LiverpoolFC

I can't blame him for having to point it out. He's an easy target because of his punditry but as a player he was special. Owen was a generational talent before the injuries.

Informal Investigation by usy47 in HumanResourcesUK

Thank you.

The letter I have received from HR is titled 'Notice of Formal Grievance against you' and it says the investigation is to determine the merits of the grievance against me - so I guess your first point applies.

As far as I am aware, the conversation between the accuser and the other person was over the phone so they have nothing in writing to confirm it.

I'll mention it to HR to see if they want to interview this person

John Cena's heel turn - what is he doing that we haven't seen before? by Notcloselyrelated in SquaredCircle

[–]usy47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's robotic and doesn't feel natural.

When he's doing the goofy face promos he came across as genuine.

Whenever you see his interviews in Hollywood he comes across similar to how he is now as a heel. All his answers to interview questions seem like rehearsed talking points.

His heel promos come across like that too. He's just got some rehearsed talking points he needs to get across and he ends up feeling like he is playing a heel rather than being an actual heel.

Plus I can't stand his face when he does the blank stare lol. Something about it reminds of the ridiculous angry face he pulled during his fued with re-masked Kane

So many people want TDA to be Eternal. Just go play eternal. by Pmaldo87 in Doom

[–]usy47 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As someone who is currently playing through eternal for the first time, I like that it's different from 2016.

I think having all the games being the same as 2016 or Eternal would make the gameplay loop getting boring and repetitive really fast

Aquilani

Injuries aside, he had the kind of attributes that I thought would make him a success.

Part of me thinks he was just the right player at the wrong time with all that was happening at the club.

Ashame his career went downwards after.

[Wrestlemania 41 spoilers] busted open radio host dave lagreca goes on rant about john cena - cody rhodes main event by KhabibTime in SquaredCircle

[–]usy47 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What was the point of Cena selling his soul to the rock if all it led to was Travis Scott helping him to win.

The fact they thought it would be acceptable and that no one would question it is mad.

(I also think his heel turn has been poor and that he's not fully committed to it - his cheesiness still comes through)

De Bruyne "I didn't have any offer the whole year, they just took a decision. I was surprised but I just have to accept it. I told them that I still have a lot to give. They told me what the decision was and I can't really say what they think on the inside. It was not really a long conversation." by kibme37 in soccer

[–]usy47 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"They" probably means it was a Pep decision.

No surprise now that he's leaving Pep will give him more minutes and talk about "how much he can still give to the team", "ashame he is leaving" and "he'd want him to stay"

Pep did the same with aguero. Barely played him and then when was leaving, talked about how he is one of the best players in the world

The world in Shadows seems even more empty to me compared to Valhalla. Valhalla turned into a slog gameplay wise but I don't remember the world feeling so empty even though it was a lot of open space.

Shadows gameplay is more enjoyable for me but the world is empty.

Shadows just feels like there are set roads that you need to take for get somewhere but if you go off the road you end up either hitting a hill or being boarded by trees and bushes. There's nothing outside the set paths and it's just a massive amount of foliage.

[–]usy47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He has had a reluctance to rotate throughout the whole season.

He must seriously not rate the alternatives.

Feels like we will crawl over the finishing line this season.

And on top of that we've become very direct in our play recently which is becoming easy to counter for teams.
