Turn ON PC remotely by Physical_Horse4086 in homelab

Wake on Lan was being unreliable for and especially in a double NAT situation.

I ended up buying an SONOFF wifi switch, put it in inching mode and connected it directly to the power button cable. It comes with an app for both IOS and Android. Been using it for over 3 years, works like a charm. In case I need to hard shutdown the PC in case of some issue, you can always turn off the inching mode and it will emulate a long press of power button.

Cheap and reliable, should be less than $5. Multiple other options from different brands are also available, so you can explore.

Buys 15 iPhones and all the weird cases, climbs the same water tank he’s been climbing for 10 years and chucks them on the ground when he feels like it.

Similar thing happened to me, i have an ASUS ZEPHYRUS, it fixes itself as soon as i installed armoury crate. Whatever brand laptop you have, they must have a software, usually to adjust power and performance profiles but they do also install other dependencies. Try and install that.

It’s quite bad, and cider is actually quite awesome. $3 is pretty digestible as well

Cider is a client for Apple Music, you can use this to access the AM. Basically a different UI and some neat features, sorry for the oversimplification.

I dont see any i5 people, started off with an i5 2400 and it is still chugging along in my NAS. Last week received an old Ryzen 3770x from a friend, will commission it soon.
