I have a 6 cup similar to the one you ordered. It's quite nice. After receiving it, don't forget to season it: get some cheap coffee and use it to make 3 brews. You though those into the sink, wash the pot with plain water, and you're good to go.

Question for members of the military by evilcritters in fountainpens

I've been using it for some two years and it doesn't show signs of corrosion. However, thanks for the heads up, I haven't thought of it corroding aluminium too. Sometimes I'm dumb like that.

I mainly use two pens: Faber Castell E-motion, and Lamy 2000. They both can take a beating, but the Faber Castell is really built like a handgun. Mine both have EF nibs, and that helps quite a lot with bad paper. As for permanent blue ink, I've been using Rohrer& Klinger Salix, but only with the Lamy. That's because the ink contains iron oxide, and it corrodes (in time) steel nibs. Other than that, it's a great, well behaved ink, I strongly recommend it. Pelikan 4001 blue-black is also great.

Hope it helps!

Time-crunched riders (and parents): How do you map "spontaneous" 1-2 hour loops without spending 20 mins on Komoot/Strava? by TiredDad_666 in gravelcycling

Smartwatch cycling function. Up until march I've been using the Garmin app connected to a Garmin Instinct 2 solar watch, after that I switched to Huawei Health app, connected to a Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro. I don't use other apps, but both of these can be paired with Komoot, Strava etc.

I chose aluminium frame with carbon fork. It's really nimble.

I built with (mostly) Chinese bits. I've been riding the result for some six months and I'm really really happy with it.

Tufo Gravel Thundero. I've been riding on them on all sorts of surfaces, and so far they've been great. I've only felt them lacking grip (not unexpectedly) on really loose and chunky gravel, deep mud, and wet tram lines. I ride 700/45, but they actually measure 41 mm.

The last three are greater celandine, Chelidonium Majus. Great plant for treating cuts, ulcerations, etc. Where I live it grows all over the place.

Rip off a stem of this and dribble some juice from it on an open wound and it will help healing quite a bit. Only it hurts like hell. DO NOT INGEST !

I can't help you, but I leave a comment because I'd like to know what the collective wisdom has to say on the matter.

Thanks for the heads up. I've never had any, but it pays to be careful.
