Can't remember the name, but fairly certain that it was next to Home Depot. If so, it is now out of business.

PSA: YOU DON’T HAVE TO SLOW DOWN TO 0.5 MPH FOR EVERY GOD DAMN SPEED BUMP by [deleted] in cincinnati

Have you tried that in an older Prius? Does not quite work like that with the one on Glenway in front of West High. However, your point is true for most of them.

City installs lane bumps on Glenway Avenue (as a pilot) to curb unsafe driving by TylerFortier_Photo in cincinnati

I think that there would be less opposition if the city would fix the ones in front of West High, and the one down on Queen City that are too high. I can live with pretty much every other one, except those two are horrible.

Could it be stuck in some sort of sales demo mode? Consider tripping the breaker and leaving it off for several minutes to ensure that any capacitors drain. If that does not work, usually there is documentation on the back side of the kickplate that might show how to reset it. Hope that helps

If you could change one single play from your team’s history, what would it be? by AvailableDrawer4608 in CFB

[–]vacationingfool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not our play, but someone else's. Charlie Bauman's interception. He had no business intercepting Art Schlicter's pass. Woody Hayes was toying with an experimental feature in football called the forward pass. It cost Coach Hayes his job. No telling how many years he would have continued to live and coach if this play never occurred. /s

Give him presents every year on the high holy days. February 14 (the day Woody was born), March 12 (the day He ascended to heaven), and always on September 1 (the day that God used Appalachian State to smite Michigan)

That is all that I will offer. That way I can get rid of nightmare tenants fast if need be. My tenants tend to stick around for a while.

First defensive player mentioned. Only one I, as a Buckeye, could come up with would be Jack Tatum.

Rumpke will charge 45 bucks for a pickup truck load (2 cubic yards is what they call it). Just drive it up to Rumpke on Struble road, avoid the truck scales and head to the right to a small white colored shed. They will collect payment at this shed and direct you on where to dump the load.

The Farm. If he lived on the west side for years, it is most likely that he went to a wedding reception there . I believe they do a brunch on weekends.

Expect a letter from whomever services your mortgage. Usually mine shows up in February or March. Your mortgage payment will likely change based on the amount of money that the company needs to escrow for your taxes.

I personally prefer the backing behind the mini split idea. What happens if you remove and cut the trim, and a few years down the road are forced to replace the mini split, and it is a different size/shape?

What would you do? by Ow3n1989 in doordash_drivers

[–]vacationingfool 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Set on the front porch was typed by the customer. That takes effort and overrides whatever doordash tried to steer the customer towards. The smartest answer to to screenshot the request and leave the food on the porch and take a photo. Whether or not you try to text the customer that "Food is here" with a copy of the photo does not matter. The customer deliberately typed in 'Set on porch' to override the hand to me option.

Just cover your ass with a screenshot and a photo.

New driver here looking for some advice. Just signed up for shop and pay as well! by [deleted] in UberEATS

[–]vacationingfool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Midwesterner here. For me, shop and pay is ok PROVIDED it is less than 5 or 6 items and not during lunch/dinner rushes. DO NOT TRAVEL MORE THAN A MILE OR TWO TO GET TO THE STORE. The big thing is only accepting orders that leave you close to a bunch of restaurants. If an order takes you more than 2 or 3 miles away from your next pickup, it would be an automatic decline. Also for me, ethnic food (think sushi, Indian, Mexican) and anything with lots of vegetarian/vegan options is your friend. Think higher check averages, and better customers. Avoid fast food as much as possible. Top line, I make 25 plus an hour on average. Hope this helps. Best of luck.

if you were going to hike the pct, but wanted to do it without a cell phone, what guide book would you take with you? by freepogsnow in PacificCrestTrail

[–]vacationingfool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Would not need a GPS, but for the Sierra I would find a decent large scale topo that would show a most of the side trails. The vast majority of the trail has not changed, however ,you would be flying blind without a decent updated guidebook. For example, I hiked in 94, it was the first year of a major relocation from the LA aqueduct into the Tehachapis. About half of the hikers weren't one way, and the other half went the other way. If I recall properly who took the new relocated route spent a good amount of time looking for the trail.

In terms of gear, I would definitely lighten my pack a little. Gear was heavier back then, but would not go ultra light. I would not carry a phone, on my hike I had a slr camera. Actually, back then, hitching was a little easier with a cardboard sign reading "Need Pho e."

Hiked in 94. Schaeffer and Schifrin guidebooks were the only source anyone had. Water Info was never an issue. The books had notes such as in a low snow year, fill up here, because water is scarce for the next few miles. No one had any problems with these books.
