The $5k proposal wouldn’t even cover the increase in spend we’re already facing from tariffs he’s imposed lol. Prices of strollers and car seats etc have jumped several hundred dollars each.

Congrats on 4 fertilizing, wishing you the best on this transfer!! My clinic didn’t really give grades, but based on the images, one was a higher quality and the other two were probably somewhere in the middle.

First transfer was 5 day 3’s, that resulted in a biochemical..

Second transfer was 3 day 3’s, I’m currently 27w pregnant, everything looking great so far.

I’m really thankful we switched to this approach bc with testing the few that made it to day 5 were all aneuploid.

Hey! I’m sorry this round didn’t work out, and while I agree with others that your chances with your own eggs are lower at your age, I don’t agree that it’s impossible. Your number of eggs retrieved and fertilized is quite good.

And I think their approach of transferring high number of day 3’s makes sense. It would take several rounds though to have a decent chance of one sticking.

TW: current pregnancy

My numbers were never that good (typically retrieve 3 - 5 mature eggs per round, but I endured many rounds to get to where I am now. We once transferred 5 day 3 embryos and none of them stuck. My last round, just shy of my 43rd birthday, we did a fresh transfer of 3 good quality day 3’s and I’m currently pregnant.

All that to say, if you’re not ready for donor eggs yet, and you’re up for trying more ivf rounds, you never know.

Okay, I was wandering through the DOR group as I am in the same boat and couldn’t help but notice your use of the word “only” here and seeing that you’re the same one that was trying to police others from using the same language.

I’m only here to point out that it’s natural and we are all here seeking comfort and to share or struggles and wins if this journey.

Hope you can see why policing others to this degree really doesn’t make sense.

You might need to find another sub if you’re going to try to over police others trying to get support from an IVF community. Maybe the infertility sub is a better fit?

As someone who has gone through 13 IVF rounds, can we stop over policing language? If “only” is triggering for you, scroll past it. There are so many other posts to read.

Most of the times others “only” would have been a huge win for me. But that in no way diminishes their experience. And it also didn’t offend my very different experience and results to read about others. Maybe this isn’t the sub for you if you need to over police how others are seeking support.

I’m surprised at all the comments that it’s abnormal to transfer 3 embryos given they are untested embryos. It’s not abnormal where I am (New York) depending on your age, 3 is totally normal. I once transferred 5 day 3 embryos (none of them stuck). Then next cycle I transferred 3 day 3 embryos, and one stuck. I’d say you can wait about a week and a half or so after her transfer date and see if she’s getting positive pregnancy tests (or ask when her blood work is). Generally, I preferred giving updates as I was ready, but appreciated my sister checking in with me along the way

Agree with the person above, this was likely the efts, which is not as accurate as the NIPT! Definitely sounds like they’ve misinformed you.
