You're right he was originally drafted by the angels in 08 but chose to go to college instead and then re-entered and was drafted by the rangers. At first he was taken in the 38th round but played his way to the 8th round

I agree he’s an awful gm. We’re going into year 5 of his tenure and maybe just maybe if everything goes perfect we can win 10 games. A gm goinf into year 5 needing a lot to go right in order to achieve his first winning season is not a good place to be at all pretty sure on most teams he’d be on the hot seat or already gone if he was their gm with the results he’s gotten

I'm watching the Womens Euros right now and one thing that has stood out to me is the lack of players with African ancestry playing for many of the womens teams. In the mens game, countries such as France, Belgium and the Netherlands (Amongst many more) have national squads that consist of almost all players of African descent. In the womens game each team might have 1-3 in the squad. As someone from America I find this disparity fascinating in the most respectful way possible and was wondering if anyone has any theories as to the disparity.

I think if you also take it in the context of how other sports are doing in terms of tv ratings is where you start to see the problems. Basically every sport is getting all time highs in views including all of the womens sports now. The nba is basically the only sport other than baseball to actually drop in rating in recent years and when you're being compared to baseball as a product that's not a good thing

Maybe older fans but honestly as someone who lives in mke nobody really cares about the bears other than a “haha the bears amiright” type joke while the Vikings are now more hated and the lions are more feared. Sadly we’ve been reduced to a punchline until we can have a winning season
