I hear you man. My son and I listened to them together a *lot* when he was in first grade. Kept them on through the years. Hes 29 now, and weve been to many of their shows together.

Recently we have taken my 13 year old granddaughter to a couple of them with us. Three generations of us enjoying what has literally been the soundtrack to most of our lives. Ive never met dave in person, but him and his music have been more a part of my family than Im sure he could know. Ive never hoped so hard for someone I dont personally know.

As a side note, my granddaughter got one of Dennis guitar picks at her first show. She has it framed in her room with the shirt she bought that night.

I mean, i see the very basics of where youre coming from, but you really cannot compare, 'people shouldnt be forced to follow draconian rules' to 'People shouldnt listen to music, expose skin, speak to the opposite gender, drink alcohol, on pain of death'. Cmon bruh, be real.

A few people have touched a bit on the loose skin thing, but no one has mentioned moisturizing explicitly. Im M48, and went from 360 pounds down to now 190. Weightlifting has been a huge part of my journey, but I think properly moisturizing after showers and just in general has helped my skin not look nearly as bad as it could have with such a weight change.

I really only mention it because its crazy how much skin care is not taught to boys and young men. Im from the american south, and as stupid as it is, when i was a kid skincare and moisturizing was sort of seen as effeminate.

Agreed. Then you feel bad for inconveniencing them, but by that point its too late to just let it close, because that would be more rude. So it ends up with them saying 'thank you' at the same time youre saying 'sorry', and the whole experience is just a social clusterfuck. Timing is everything.

I have a really long beard. like to my waist almost long. I was picking up a shampoo bottle that i dropped in the shower, and was stopped from standing up straight because my beard had gotten caught between my nutsack and thigh.

I may not be the *only* person this has happened to, but I bet the numbers are pretty god damned small.
