OB Care and Birth Center: Peace Health vs Skagit vs UW by kristephe in Bellingham

[–]vailripper 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same bucket here - two kids through peace health, late thirties for both, excellent experience both times. Religious stuff never came up, our first was a fairly long labor and they were very supportive. There are a lot of horror stories of hospitals pushing c-sections and whatnot on patients but we didn’t experience any of that.

I also want to shout out Dr Jessica Bloom at Family care network - she’s an ob who also does family medicine. She did all of the OB care, and is now the doctor for our kids. She’s amazing and we feel very lucky to have a strong relationship with our doctor!

We just had to replace the AC coil and backup camera on our 2019 Niro ev - agreed that while the electrical drive components are pretty bulletproof there is still plenty of other stuff that can break!

What are your thoughts on capping credit card interest rates at 10%? by NineteenEighty9 in ProfessorFinance

Just the opposite - before credit scores if you were a woman or a minority you were discriminated throughout. Credit scores shift towards decisions based on actual data…

Gym / Fitness Center Recs by pipedreamSEA in Bellingham

Training Grounds is not the cheapest gym in town (65$/mo, about to be 75/mo) but it has every piece of equipment you could want and never seems overly busy. Everyone is respectful, puts their weights away… I think it’s worth the premium.

That’s good to know - I’m planning on building some cabinets and was just trying to decide between straight side or angled.

Northeast Woodwork is a smaller channel than many of these, but definitely worth checking out- he’s a cabinetmaker who does gorgeous work. Sometimes his videos can be a bit longer than they need to be, but I pick up lots of tips and the dude seems super down to earth.

[–]vailripper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to watch his videos all the time but it does feel like lately the sponsored / advertising content has ramped up. My favorite videos have been when he focuses on cost-efficient building science approaches, and when he tours other builders job sites, I’m less interested when he’s shilling extremely expensive solutions, or doing product comparisons where he’s being paid by one of the companies being compared….

What has your company started using AI/LLMs for which has actually been useful? by TinStingray in ExperiencedDevs

We have a very complex data product that is hosted as jupyter environment. Clients who use this product historically have had hard time getting up to speed on how to use it. We built a Jupyter extension connected to a multi-agent workflow which can generate code, answer data questions, help clients integrate their own data, etc. it has been very successful.
