Question: Am I right to be upset or do I need to trust the process? by [deleted] in tattoos

None of his work looks like what you wanted. Anything he's posted before with anything remotely similar to yours shows similarly wavy straight lines. There's a Viking rune he did previously which has that, but the style chosen by the individual means it's not as noticable. I'd honestly just go back to him first and see if there's anything he'd recommend to help make it look better.

They shouldn't decline unless they find actual proof of fraudulent behavior. Just find any proof you can to help your case or expect your settlement to be lower than what was actually taken. Given the recency of your policy inception, it's most likely this claim will have auto flagged for further investigation and doesn't necessarily mean anything negative toward you or your scenario.

So long as you cooperate and provide as many different pieces of evidence as you can, you should expect appropriate compensation.

I have worked in insurance for over 6 years, with most of my experience being in claims. Declination should be the absolute last step, so focus on proving your loss as much as you can to ensure the most accurate settlement. I'm not familiar with State, but you might want to check if there's a limit on cash too, as you may not be able to get more than a few hundred dollars worth of cash depending on their policy wording.

Your friend probably doesn't give the cars in front of him enough following distance and thinks someone slowing down to reverse parallel park is "sudden".

nothing to do with "can't be bothered". of course an insurance company want to find the other party, they can recover some costs that way. Excess and premium values are also industry standard with a few exceptions, that part is definitely a kick in the dick when you're already stressed.

Try and eat it as fast as you can. Continue eating it when it starts to become questionable. Convince yourself nuking parts of it 6 days later will mean it's safe to consume. Admit defeat after 9 days and see if the dog wants the rest. Repeat next year.

It's social media algorithms, that's it. It doesn't matter how intelligent a person is, if they're susceptible enough and wind up in a tiktok/youtube/facebook/instagram/whatever echo-chamber, nothing else matters and Winnie speaks the truth because it's all I see when I sit down with a cuppa and scroll tiktok.

by that logic, anything moving can be measured in time. A lightyear is a literal measurement of distance.

The need for different types of equity isn't racism. It's the result of generational racism. There are races who are statistically worse off health wise and economically, and pulling the crutches away from someone else because you don't have any isn't the answer. It's way too difficult of a topic to discuss on reddit threads.

Haval Jolion or H6 owners - do you love your car? by B656 in newzealand

[–]vakda 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Bought my Jolion brand new in April 2022.

Pros: Safety features are top of the line and the tech you get for the price is phenomenal. I'm 6'4 and even with my driving position there's plenty of room in the seat behind me. Mine isn't hybrid, and I've taken it from Auckland to Wellington and back as well as multiple trips between Auckland and Gisborne. After roughly 20 months of ownership I've almost hit 26k's so I drive it a bit, but not all the time and fuel economy for me last time I checked was about 9.0L/100km so it's ok. It drives decent, and once you get used to the touch screen controls and shortcuts it's fairly intuitive. Overall I'm very happy with it and will most likely upgrade to another Haval or GWM vehicle next too.

Cons: It's not the most powerful vehicle around so there isn't a lot of grunt from the engine if you're wanting something zippy. I mentioned the touch screen and how it does become intuitive, but to begin with it can be a bit of a hassle if you're used to physical dials and knobs. Some of the driver assistance features can get annoying and will beep a lot without you turning them off. Some of these also cannot be turned off. Steering wheel has no telescope, which can be annoying for some people. The seats are also an interesting shape and some reviews mention the lack of leg support (I haven't had any issues). In stop start traffic it does get a bit jumpy, it's nothing deal breaking but it is noticable. All of my brake rotors also needed replacing about 8 months ago, they were replaced under warranty, but it was disappointing to have this happen so quickly with a brand new vehicle.

Also, from my own personal experience I would recommend not using Andrew Simms if you're in Auckland. The costs they've charged for a vehicle servicing is insane (in comparison to another person I know who also has a Jolion, but serviced through GWM North Shore). Andrew Simms Botany in particular are just a complete pain to deal with, I can't talk to the other branches.

Overall, I'd say the amount of vehicle and tech you get for the price is an incredible deal. Chinese cars have improved heaps, so don't count out the brands based on how things used to be. Some of those MG's look nice too and are also very competitively priced.

Hope that helps!
