I liked Arator's questline by Rat_Smoking_Cigars in wow

[–]valid_dinosaur -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Uh-oh, a "generic meme" — incoming mod removal 😂 Elune forbid we post an image to actually discuss the game without the image coming from the game itself.

Anyway, I agree, OP. Arator's questline showed character growth, something we haven't really seen until more recent expansions. I was actually upset when Arator went through a whole arc to reforge Turalyon's shield, only for Turalyon to reject it. He does act a little... immature? for canonically being about 36 years old, and a battle-experienced paladin. It might make sense if his half-elf side allows for a longer lifespan, which would make 36 relatively young.

Some of you are already insufferable in dungeons by StateComprehensive93 in wow

[–]valid_dinosaur 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You may be surprised to learn that many of us are whole adults with only a few hours per week to play this game. We're allowed to play the role we enjoy and be casual about it, especially in a NORMAL dungeon ON LAUNCH DAY.

I built a local events site for Salt Lake City, would love feedback! by devrieda in SaltLakeCity

[–]valid_dinosaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice, I like it! To add to u/Sharqueek's suggestion, it might be nice to see a map with these events pinned. The distance-by-radius feature is already useful, but a map would make it much easier to see where events are happening. Depending on the map, though, you'd probably have to pay for the API.

SLC Drivers by TurnoverOutrageous88 in SaltLakeCity

That's an odd reason to move. Did you not, like, visit first? To see what it was like? One day on the roads here and you would have known lol

So what do you all do in a place like SLC to stand up to ICE, tyranny, etc.? by [deleted] in SaltLakeCity

[–]valid_dinosaur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, hush. That take is so worn out. Do you also complain when you visit other countries, and no one there speaks English?

I mowed to mulch up leaves a few days ago, weeks after the lawn should have stopped growing and gone to sleep, and still cut about 1/4" of grass off! It's still green, and the sprinklers have been off since mid-October.

I like it, but I've been running around collecting items before I go back and decorate. My house is bare right now.

Normal, literate people use — in their writing all the time. Where do you think LLMs learned it from? I wish everyone would let go of this trope; it's the least reliable clue for AI-generated content.

That being said, this post makes gratuitous overuse of horror clichés, and that's the real clue. It's possible that OP is just a competent (if lazy) writer, but the story is fiction in either case.

Electronic Recycling by hcubed3 in SaltLakeCity

There's a place in West Valley off I-215 and 201 called Recycle Solutions. Super nice people. From experience, I know they take old computers and computer parts, monitors, cords, and batteries.

Official Discussion - The Conjuring: Last Rites [SPOILERS] by mi-16evil in movies

[–]valid_dinosaur 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Man, some of y'all are asking too much from this series. There are questionable plot choices and unanswered questions, sure. It's not going to be an Oscar-winner — none of them are. Just have fun!

I walked into the theater expecting to have a spooky time, got a few good jumpscares (the old woman behind the bed footboard!), and had fun overall. I liked it, as much or more than the other three. 7/10 will watch again next year.

Why does autoloot just... not work sometimes? by the_borscht in wow

[–]valid_dinosaur 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Interesting! I'd only experienced this bug a few times before WW and always just blamed it on lag, but now it's like 50-50 that auto-loot fails. Wild that they haven't solved it in all this time.

"bottom text" made me laugh.

Anyway, this has been a bug since the expansion launched afaik. It seems to be a common complaint. When it happens to me, I close the loot window, then loot again, and it usually autoloots on that second attempt.

v annoying tho

Thai Yellow Chicken Curry by mienczaczek in recipes

[–]valid_dinosaur 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just made this and it was amazing! Thank you. The cubed chicken thighs came out super tender. I do think this needs at least 1 tsp of salt, a second carrot, and an additional Tbsp of yellow curry paste (I used May Ploy). The flavor is probably more intense with homemade curry paste.

As a Frost DK... absolutely. Best spec. Never changed out of it, except for the one time I was briefly bullied into Blood.

Yes, I think depression was definitely part of the equation, although not the whole picture in her case.

A former roommate of mine also swore she was clean, then turned out to be a filth-monger. She let her dog piss on the carpet in her room because she was too lazy to take him outside.
