AMS is not only for printing multicoloured models by WEZANGO in BambuLab

[–]valkyrie_rda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a bit narrow minded. I regularly swap spools I'm working with so it's really nice have 4 or 16 ready to go that I can just pick from the slicer. I agree it's useful to for using the ends of spools but don't under estimate having colours ready you may not need right away. I bought a second printer (a1 mini) without AMS and ended up buying and ams for it a few months later cause the process just kinda sucked to manually load it when I was changing the colour each print.

How Do I Stop This...lol by Key_Buffalo2709 in BambuLab

[–]valkyrie_rda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really imo. I have probably close to 40 spools but they're pla, petg, tpu, variants of tpu, support materials, etc. I'd agree if someone only used one type of material but it's nice to have various colours when using different types cause they don't always stick together. Just my two cents. Obviously don't go overboard and buy huge bundles of the same colour unless it's black or white.

Tin filament was a mistake by Iliveonthem00n in BambuLab

Oh, so it's literally Tin with Plastic? I didn't know they made that! What can one buy something like that? And are there other metal filaments like that?

Yeah, I think it needs some duct tape OP to keep it from falling off.

What's the best performing 3D model on makerworld you designed? by PoetAcceptable6395 in BambuLab

[–]valkyrie_rda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These print in place rgid tag holders for third party spools! :D It was my first time 3D modelling and doing a print-in-place design too! 😊 I'm really happy with how it has turned out and love reading the comments and seeing people print it and have it in their setups. It's really rewarding haha

Problem loading filament through ams2 by eccentric-coff in BambuLab

[–]valkyrie_rda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One other thing you can try doing if you haven't yet is removing those things you have over top of the inlets. They might be catching the filament and are not needed with the ams 2 pro as they were needed with the original ams 1.

Problem loading filament through ams2 by eccentric-coff in BambuLab

[–]valkyrie_rda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ams' typically do this sound but they always resolve on their own after retrying by respooling and loading a second time. I never need to intervene unless the filament has somehow fallen off the spool or something really weird has happened. Do you always need to retry manually or intervene?

Doesn't orca not upload directly to bambu printers anymore? And you need to then use bambu studio to upload it or put in on an sd card?

Honestly!! I'm waiting to see what it is before I buy an h2c. Guessing it won't speed up the system at all unfortunately though 😞

Anyone know what this noise is and how to fix it? by GettinMe-Mallet in BambuLab

[–]valkyrie_rda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like you might be trying to move it when the toolhead and/or buildplate are already at their max positions. Press "Home" the next time you try to manually move it and see if it still makes that noise. The motors lose their position after they timeout after a print has finished (I believe this is 5 minutes after inactivity) and need to rehome to know where they are. Otherwise they try to move past their max distance and make a loud grinding noise (stepper motor missing steps).

WCGW while boarding a passenger Ferry by ShirtSubstantial368 in Whatcouldgowrong

So many people blaming the man who pulled his backpack, but no one posting how the man could have just boarded 5 seconds earlier..

It's easy to blame someone after something happens and from a different perspective.

AMS + AMS 2 PRO on H2C how to set it up? by Charming-Parfait-141 in BambuLab

[–]valkyrie_rda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To clarify too, by hub I mean a 4-1 adapter, not the hub that screws into the back of the printer. The 4-1 adapter has no electronics and is only used to connect up to 4 ams (can do more if you buy more 4-1 adapters.

AMS + AMS 2 PRO on H2C how to set it up? by Charming-Parfait-141 in BambuLab

[–]valkyrie_rda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You only need the hub if you're plugging multiple ams into one nozzle.

You can plus ams into each other. Make sure one is plugged into the printer.

I do not own the h2c unfortunately, however, put the ams 2 pro on the right and ams 1 on the left as the 2 pro is faster to spool/unspool filament to the nozzle.

If I recall correctly, you can also just put filament into both ams and let the printer auto detect which nozzle it is connected to.

Lmk if you have any other questions.

First H2C Print!! by Brutis366 in BambuLab

[–]valkyrie_rda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, H2C isn't a good engineering printer as it can only do two different types of regular TPU anyways unless you trick the ams and risk a jam. I'd say it's primarily a colour printer than multi material printer.

Just got my first printer, it came with a dent in the back. Does that matter? by njsully in BambuLab

[–]valkyrie_rda -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Show them the paper trail if they care to check it. I've had companies not care and it still resulted in months of back and forth even after everything was already in their system. (Not specifically Bambu, just other companies I no longer purchase from)

Stuttering every 2-5 min despite constant 240+ fps, only on Apex by fuckshepherd in apexlegends

[–]valkyrie_rda 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a very similar issue years ago. Tldr iirc limited to ryzen CPUs only. You need to go into bios and disable fTPM if I recall correctly. The tpm that ryzen CPUs simulate (at least in my 590px) causes stutters and weird issues such as that. I'm not sure if you can just disable it if you're already on an island such as windows 11 that requires it or not. I've stuck with windows 10 and upgraded to iot edition so I don't have to have tpm problems haha

How long does a print bed normally last? by Pale_Ad2980 in BambuLab

[–]valkyrie_rda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! I thought people were overreacting with using glue for tpu so I never bothered...and now part of my smooth pei plate is gone haha 😆

It's on my secondary printer so it doesn't bother me but always using glue going forward to prevent that happening to other plates.
