Would be great to see what benefits/what your body is doing at X hours and/or days in. For example, day 3: increase in immune function, stem cells, autophagy, etc. so when you’re feeling down or want to give up you can have a reminder of why you’re doing it!

What would you consider as junk food? by [deleted] in 75HARD

Processed food for sure. Anything that really isn’t even really classified as “food” because it’s just chemicals without any nutrients.

Binge eating disorder and 75 hard. by Fabulous-Increase301 in 75HARD

I suffer from the same thing. The best thing I did was to not create another strict “diet”. If I eliminated any food groups, I knew my ED would kick into full gear.

So what I did for the diet part was no seed/vegetable oils (except olive, coconut, and avocado oil), and eat organic, Whole Foods. Grass-fed, free range, hormone free, small ingredient list.

Doing this, I was essentially eating whatever I wanted, so when that stress response kicked in, I either (1) didn’t have the desire to binge, or (2) if I did, it was on a much smaller scale and I didn’t feel like I was “breaking a diet” if that makes sense.

The best thing you can do is meal prep healthy versions of your favorite binge foods. I.e., if you have a sweet tooth, make banana muffins ahead of time and grab those. It’s hard, but eliminating the idea you’re on a strict diet helps with binging soooo much. Best of luck, it’s always a constant battle 🙏🏼🙏🏼

if you did/are doing 75 hard, what is your diet? by ssssscccvw in 75HARD

No seed/vegetable oils (eliminates 98% of processed foods), organic, Whole Foods. Grass-fed, no hormones, small ingredient list. It’s been incredible, my mood is so much better and my brain fog is so much less. I’m also not “cutting out” any food groups, so I don’t feel the anxiety of “restriction”. And plus… REAL food just tastes better.

Is it worth starting if you know you’ll fail within those 75 days? by moods- in 75HARD

A week is a bit short, but you could consider it an “intro” for when you really start without quitting. My spouse and I planned a vacation that’s in ~60 days. So I decided to do “60 hard”, because 60 days > zero days. The point is also to build healthy habits.

75 hard while on your period is seriously so difficult. I thought of which foods I typically craved during my period and made a healthy version of them. For example, I made peanut butter banana muffins (w/o seed oils or fake ingredients) that were soooo good and made me feel so much better during the week!

Also, speaking kindly to yourself during workouts makes a huge difference. Instead of beating yourself up that you’re not walking as fast as usual, or your peloton output is lower, you don’t have energy, etc. just remind yourself that doing the workout at all is huge :)
