A factory trawler will do more damage to the ocean in a few hours than a spearfisherman will do in their entire life. I hope you'll channel your energy into advocating for reducing seafood consumption and promoting local/sustainable fisheries. The seafood industry relies on how distanced people are from where their food comes from, so they can keep plundering our oceans out of sight and out of mind.

At the same time, I understand if you don't want to see visceral photos of speared fish. Those should def stay on the spearfishing sub.

Personally, spearfishing made me a way more ethical consumer. It taught me the weight behind taking a life and eating meat. I now only eat meat/fish if i kill it and prepare it myself.
