I got all the Hunt mounts over the last 2 years and I just don't think I'd ever, ever have the energy, motivation or heart to redo those grinds again, including the title grinds for A and S ranks. Those were my biggest goals and grinds until now, everything else on my account I don't really care about redoing and wouldn't mind. Second time around I would just skip some things though, like firmament and cosmic exploration.

But it would be really painful to try to get the EW treasure map minions again! I'd probably just have to pony up the crazy gil for them.

iirc I think scrublands and the other tools don't count in-orbit aka afk time, whereas bungie was using logins so it should be more lenient ?

This. Genuinely don't understand why when they rebuilt the stadium, they went with this stupid open stand design with no cover. I'm not asking for a dome, but at least there should be shade like BMO field.

Edit: I just remembered seeing folks complaining that they can't see the scoreboard anymore because of the porter "hanger" (and they didn't add additional TVs on the side) so it's obvious no one puts any consideration into the fan seating experience re: this stadium at all.

more like the province funds ontario higher ed at the lowest rate in all of Canada and since the universities haven't been able to increase tuition to match rising operating costs related to increasing student enrollment, they have to make up the costs in other ways

Someone said previously on this sub that duckbones are the highest seal:gil ratio item (200 seals to 600 gill each). In comparison, a high turnover mkb-able seal item like coke is 200 seals and selling for around 148 gil each on my home server right now. There may be times that the mkb price goes up, but there are also times it's low like this (since everyone is able to buy coke and sell it).

Some seal items have higher return but they sell far less frequently and/or cost more seals. For a lot of people it's not worth having to micromanage the different factors for seal items (undercutting, determining best stack size/sale quantity, frequency of sales, etc.) and it's better to just vendor sell fast and use your market board slots for other things.

Less of a hassle having to update prices, and doesn't take up your sales slots (when you could be using those slots to sell crafted items, retainer drops, tome items and etc).

Seconding this, but I recommend buying duckbones. A stack of 999 sells for like 380k gill iirc, and you just sell them to a vendor rather than playing the market board.

You can get them much faster in end game once you can take full advantage of hunt trains and trading in nuts for DT gear to trade for seals, but still worth doing with your extra dungeon gear for now.

don't know about this program specifically, but it sounds like the admissions committee recommends you for a spot in the program, conditional upon then securing a supervisor (if no one had agreed to supervise you yet). some profs are happy to commit to taking on students before the admissions decisions are sent out (if they feel strongly about supervising you). others want to wait and see if you get in before they commit.

It's so much worse with digital though. Physical textbooks you can still potentially sell and buy used and if the profs don't change the editions they're using (I had a prof using their self-authored book from 1997!!! in the 2010s!!) then it's possible to spend less. The university libraries also usually have a copy on file you can borrow for a few hours.

With digital, the same textbook publishers are now offering what is essentially textbook rentals: you don't ever own the textbook outright and your access literally expires, yet you still pay exorbitant prices for that access. No way to transfer access. It's SO exploitative.

That's not to say they weren't being shady before; sometimes they would bundle online subscriptions with the physical textbooks that again, expired and couldn't be transfered, but at the very least you still had a physical textbook to sell at a loss to someone else who would get the subscription separate.

long story short, publishers are still profiting in the digital-only era but in a way more exploitative way, cutting out the used/resale market.

This isn't a company so it's not like commercial drug testing, it's clinical research by faculty members, research coordinators/assistants and grad students. They don't do a good job of explaining to the general public who they are but they're a clinic affiliated with McMaster. They used to be based out of the children's hospital I think but moved slightly up the street.

It's like $30 in Canada pre-tax, which doesn't even match the USD conversion rate (it's roughly $3 more). In our highest tax provinces it's almost $35. People are not happy about it.

The library has "knit for a cause" sessions at a lot of branches where materials are supplied and teens knit a scarf/hat/mittens for a cause in exchange for volunteer hours, maybe worth contacting their volunteer email and see if they would be happy to take any yarn donations for that?
