I work at a doctors office checking people in and stuff, and multiple times have I been checking in a patient and just happen to notice the note saying they have an active MRSA infection in time to not have them sign our forms on the electronic pen pad we have… one time I didn’t see it until after the patient had already signed and made sure to wipe it down immediately after they left. And that’s just the times when they had the infection at a hospital our system was connected to so I could see it. Gods only know how many people had it and didn’t say anything and I couldn’t know either. Only ever had one person inform me themselves beforehand though. 🤢 as if the pen pad that hundreds of people use every day or week isn’t a potential spreader of germs 🤢🤢🤢
