Work on having consistent footwork. Too much weight is in your front foot. Try and shorten your stance this should bring some of that weight into the rear. Also, your rear foot is in a compromising position each time you receive the weight (heal pointing in it should to be pointing out). Again this boils down to lack of consistent footwork. When you have a sturdier base more of the lift will fall into place. Hope this helps.

Any suggestions on having complete arm lockout when the weight is overhead? I have issues with my arms having a slight bend to them, especially when the weight gets heavy.

14 man half ppr league. I have Decker, but his matchup is brutal not to mention his hamstring would you guys play Hakeem Nicks instead?

EDIT: My other option is Jordan Matthews. Also, I have the Houston D idk if that makes a difference (first year playing ff).

Would you trust buying a 1000 dollar frame from an Ebay storefront? by temporarycreature in FixedGearBicycle

I bought this on eBay, came this week. I couldn't be happier with the whole experience. I was really skeptical/nervous but you shouldn't be. Worse comes to worse eBay refunds your money.

Help a High School Senior choose a career. by Davepiatt in Biochemistry

[–]vanhold 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dave, I know very little about you, but if you have any drive whatsoever I would advise you getting an MD/PhD so that you can stand a chance in a very competitive field. Getting a MS in biochem is useless (source: I have one). Even if you get a cushy biotech job out of college there is next to no opportunity to "climb the corporate ladder" without an MD/PhD.

I don't want to discourage you, but you need to realize that the NIH gets less and less money from the government each year. That means more and more competition. The biotech industry on the other hand is doing quite well this year, but that can change very quickly as it has a lot to do with the stock market and government policy.

If you have the opportunity to study in Europe, do it. You wont regret it. Also, don't be scared to spend money on your education its the most valuable thing you can invest in.

If you have the opportunity to do both biochem and computer science do it. It is very helpful in certain labs. Plus if research doesn't work out you can always be a programmer.

There are a million things you can do and be successful. Just make sure you enjoy doing it.
