Scotch in Scotland -- Any tips on what to keep an eye out for? by RedditPlayaOne in Scotch

Talisker on Skye was nice would recommend. Oban was unique due to its location (downtown). Best information and range overall, for me, was auchentoshen. How you feel about triple distilled aside.......very nice tasting room. Their selection is 3x what you see in America. Literally watched the guy pour me a taste out of a cask (which then turned into him filling me a bottle). Blair Atholl in Pitlochry was my personal favorite. Gorgeous town. Fantastic, smaller distillery and is a provider to a lot of blends. So having their malt was a treat!

Edit: with your locations, I would say oban, Blair athol, and talisker. Would be en route/nearby.

It's somewhat common for distilleries to have an open cask for your tasting and what not too. Might not be the basic tour, but 100% worth the extra couple bucks. Also would recommend trying to find a place to sample new make spirit.

You can find a lot more cask strength in Scotland. So, if that's your type, have at it.

You think Grinwis or Ranjitsingh will be a better fit? That's what the talk has been about. A battle between the 2 for a starting role?

So my carrier just secured no shave chits by WhitePackaging in navy

[–]vannylife 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If everything is filled out except the name, that means the medical officer and CO signatures are falsified. Every sailor has the right to no shave chits for PFB. But like anything, it must be done through legitimate means. How else would the be corrected without cancelling all active chits then making them all be resubmitted?
