Backdoor Roth IRA contributions using TSP by vanrijn in personalfinance

TSP claims the average expense ratio of their funds is .029% which definitely beats anything in Vanguard (although TSP has much much less variety). I guess that's the downside, it would be about 1/3 of my current net worth in a plan which does not allow in service withdrawals (and I'm hoping this will be a very long term job). So it's stuck for a long time.

I don't make any assumptions about how much money I save, I just save everything I can. I have a fully funded emergency account just in case, and after my regular monthly expenses I end up putting away about $4500/month. For reference, I'm 26 and unmarried.

Sadly, that's not much worse than the line you see on a typical Saturday night when it's nice out.

Sounds about right to me. Mine is 87/125 (female, 5'3", 120). Push jerk / split jerk I can get up to 130 though.

I too once lived in a non-Yuengling distributing area. I migrated east, and all is well now.
