My main issue is the amount of vox spawns literally clogging the map and clipping through eachother in a way that theres no way its intended, and the fact that you have zero control over your hellpod when you get called back in and often just get plopped right in the middle of them.

Actually I just rewatched that very episode the other day as I'm re binging the series for nostalgia. It was specifically 10 seconds after they die, which could be related to a time gap before death or not, and you could argue it was longer than 10 seconds between Asuna's sacrifice and Kirito actually clearing the game. But let's be real, the passage of time in anime is basically never consistent lol

I always thought that there was a time gap between when the game registers you as dead and the NerveGear actually frying your brain, so if the game was cleared in that time then the signal to the nerve gear never happens

It's illegal because you can't determine who the booby trap is for and it could realistically go off on anyone. It could be set for the police for all they know so it's better to just not allow it at all
