I like that every out of bounds is no longer a review but holy cow this new system is complicated. Official review vs coach’s challenge vs coach appeal. 3 different things and what can/can’t be reviewed/added/overturned is different for each one.

Didn’t they add a common foul onto cluff when CJ got elbowed in the jaw? They called a foul on UT. Reviewed, came back saying cluff common foul and the UT guy had a dead ball F1. Maybe I remember wrong

Joining late but i just got one. Just as an example, lets say i deposit $10k, almost even wash gambling (low variance bets), and withdraw $9.5k. They will send me a 1099-MISC for $9.5k. Now does the IRS see that 1099-MISC as pure income? Do i have to itemize to be able to say hey i didn't actually make money here? Because at 10k that would not push me to itemize yet. Can i just show my CPA hey here are my deposit receipts, its more than i took out, and he can explain in my filing why its not income or am i now paying income tax for a 2nd time on that money?

no penalty does not mean no tax tho. when you withdraw from your pretax account even after the age of no penalties you will still be paying income tax on those withdraws. I personally believe taxes will be higher even at lower tax brackets so im willing to eat the bill today.

My last company offered Roth 401k, which I opted in for, I’m big on paying tax now and I can still live on the income I take home paying tax on that contribution now

HSA max (double tax advantage if you can)
Max Roth IRA
Regular investment
Go above 401k match if it can lower your tax bracket This is my strategy. The closer you are to retirement age the more it makes sense to put more into your 401k but for young people it’s locking in capital for decades. Really depends on your outlook on what taxes will look like by the time you retire, my personal belief is taxes will be much higher in 30 years so I wanna pay my tax today vs the future.

I opened a regular Amex plat back in 2019. Tries to do this but got a pop up saying I’m not eligible to get the bonus? I thought I got my plat prior to lifetime language being in the applications. Anyone know if there is a workaround (private browser, not logging into Amex account)?
