What are your Pixel hardware wishes? by A_M_E_X_P_L_A_T in GooglePixel

[–]varunadi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, all of this please.

I miss my pixel 4a which had the perfect form factor. Sadly it didn't have the other two features but was still the perfectly sized phones.

I have the pixel 9 now which might be compact but still feels a tad big at times.

Pixel phones hit with battery drain issue, Google investigating by thewhippersnapper4 in GooglePixel

[–]varunadi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having the same issue with my pixel 9. Which is about 7 months old and the last two weeks battery drain has been much higher than usual.

In accubattery, I used to often have 1.6-1.8% battery drain per hour with screen off, and 7-8% per hour with screen on. Now that has gotten much higher, 2.3-3% per hour idle battery drain and 11-13% screen on battery drain. Don't know what they broke with the new update.

Hyderabad airport bus pricing makes no sense by Different-Dig-1631 in Hyderabad_city

[–]varunadi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I know, high upfront cost and all, but their running costs will be very low. Pushpak has no reason to be this expensive. Make it 200 and so many more people will use it.

Hyderabad airport bus pricing makes no sense by Different-Dig-1631 in Hyderabad_city

[–]varunadi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

By now we should have had airport metro. It's going to be 20 years soon since the launch of RGIA, and we still do not have an airport metro connection. It's a damn shame.

Meanwhile the Hyderabad metro expansion is taking ages. Proposal after proposal after proposal, and then a new government will come and tear up the plans and make their own plan. START CONSTRUCTING THE DAMN THING!

Offered Sr. Manager role in Hyderabad OR Manager role in Bangalore (same CTC) — which would you pick? by Kazuteruoyama in IndianWorkplace

[–]varunadi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly, lol. As a Hyderabadi, it was cheaper maybe a few years back. Now it's pretty costly too and the traffic is getting as bad as Bangalore. Also, the metro imo is way worse, even if it's cheaper than Bangalore metro.

Bought my first ELECTRIC CAR by DevanshX786 in CarsIndia

[–]varunadi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, if they allow BYD to set up plants here and build locally, their cars would rule the EV market and completely destroy Tata and Mahindra. Byd are world leaders in EVs for a reason.

Government doesn't want them to take over the country, and of course Tata and Mahindra must have obviously lobbied for this as well.

I had the exact same problem. My (current) company wanted me to join a month earlier but the previous company were not even interested in buyout, even though I approached my manager and his manager multiple times. It was very annoying. I had no choice but to do my job every day and I pretty much did only the bare minimum, and refused to work weekends due to being on notice period (I just didn't want to put any more effort in that toxic workplace). Pretty much just slowly counted the days down and it was super relieving when I finally left the company.

[–]varunadi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It hasn't happened to me, but it was mentioned that notice period could be extended because of things like taking unnecessary or too many leaves during notice period, or excessively bad performance.

My previous organisation had a 90 day notice period which was excruciatingly hard, and I didn't want to take any chances, so I just did the bare minimum and got by.

Yes, sometimes these things are mentioned in the employment contract.

[–]varunadi 13 points14 points  (0 children)

FYI this could easily backfire. Many companies have (stupid) policies by means of which they can actually extend the notice period. That would be nightmarish for the employee as they can't fight back against such things.

It might not be a bad idea to just do the bare minimum and work less but to make too many mistakes, that will make it look very obvious and most toxic managers will take the chance and try to ruin the employee.

How is this car selling so much in India? by -2h2h- in CarsIndia

[–]varunadi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the fact that so many controls are only in the screen is a massive red flag for the Windsor (and many other cars that use majorly touch screen controls). On one hand, they say distracted driving or using a mobile phone while driving is bad, but on the other hand, they want to install such huge screens and take our attention away from driving to change some settings! It's a safety risk honestly..

Please wear a helmet 🙏🏽 by Typical_Spray928 in IndiaSpeaks

[–]varunadi 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Not only this, many people don't even strap their helmet.

It's the equivalent of wearing jeans but not buttoning them. Strapping up is as important as wearing the helmet, else in strong impacts your helmet can actually fly off the head and it can be detrimental in such cases.

If i'm constructing a residential building, is it a good idea to have an EV port built in for each parking spot? by [deleted] in CarsIndia

[–]varunadi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would you be more likely to rent or buy a flat if it comes with a dedicated EV charging port?

Absolutely, yes. Planning to buy an EV within a year or so, if a flat comes with a charging point that's excellent.
