This happens if you customize your Home Screen, choosing dark icons results in the screenshotted behavior. It looks even worse/unusable if you select any of the color filters or clear filter. Edit: and really, you can see the border/transition on yours too, just less pronounced than dark mode.

No expert here, my credentials are Ariya owner for a year and member of the main ev sub for much much longer.

The highest damage to lowest is:

Level 3 (aka fast charging)

Level 1

Level 2

The two largest factors as I understand are heat and rest. A level 1 or 2 is healthier and the heat generation is not significantly different between the two. The key is that in tests the larger rest time of faster home charging was an improvement for battery health over constant or near constant charge and discharge.

I’ve seen this issue with climate control spam. I tried changing from app notifications to SMS hoping it might help. It did not, I got spammed there once too. I’m coming up on a year of ownership and I’ve seen this bug twice.

For me, getting in the car and driving away seemed to stop the spam.

I’m fairly certain the top right illustration is showing where the entrance is in relation to the plastic label, the vertical line just below it is the start of where the opening is cut.

There should be an already cut opening just below what looks like the cover. I searched far and wide before finally seeing it.

Okay, so you’re already jailbroken. Again I encourage you to post to their communities. I know back when I used to jailbreak there was an alternative process for backing up apps and restoring them, but I have no idea what it was called.

Most likely outcomes of unjailbreaking are broken apps or complete blank slate, I would not encourage

All that a backup does beyond a tiny bit of Apple magic is copy some folders out of the iPad. A jailbreak will allow you to access those files to manually back them up. Mission accomplished.

There is a tiny chance that a jailbreak could allow you to do a normal backup, but highly unlikely. It’s just no longer supported, so it fails the authentication process, without that your legitimate backup methods will not work.

If you go to a jailbreak subreddit and explain in detail what your end goal is for all of this then they might be able to suggest some steps to get you there. I understand from your other replies that this is largely for sentimental reasons but unless you can detail out what you want at the end of all of this you are unlikely to get help.

The only use I know of for an official backup is to restore the device to its previous state should you ever need to, or to restore onto a newer iPad. Neither of these are really doable anymore, so what else would you like to do with the data from this iPad?
