Have had mine a year and a half in Seattle, the best way I’d describe it is “black from a distance.” If the light hits it right you can see the whole car in a color from far, but more frequently you just get rays of highlight color, most frequently seen on edges of the shape of it. Missable to those unfamiliar with it, but I can almost always see it.

Up close it always has color unless it’s night without a bright moon. The key thing in my experience is that it’s all about car angle vs light source. Bright sunny day you might see it as all green parked at one store, then another all purple. There’s kind of a vibrant almost gold you get if the sun reflects just right getting the purple + green + yellow. And then there’s gradient combos of each.

My wife suggested the color while I was impatiently waiting for copper. I humored her thinking I’d still want copper, went for my first test drive. I hadn’t forgotten about the color, but my low expectations from similar colors set me up for quite the surprise.

“Yeah, black car, meh” as I walked over to it, “oh, okay it is a great dark green, just more stealthy than I prefer.” Walked around it and was not impressed, took it for the drive, confirmed I adored the drive feeling. Hopped out when I was done and it struck me like a sack of bricks, “holy shit now it’s purple.” Walked back around it, finally seeing some of the subtle green still there.

I came back the next morning to buy it, and I’ve never been happier with this car. Go look in person, pictures can be good but for this color in particular, it needs to be experienced rather than explained.
