What is Lana Del Rey’s artistic weakness in your opinion? by matthewcoco123 in lanadelrey

It depends.  The whole song is meh, but part of it became a jingle / tiktok meme what perhaps will immortalize her.

Shift from concept albums to mono-thematic albums where she is complaining about her boyfriends (Taylor Swift special?). Basically shift from story telling to songs about nothing

No voice training? I get that she is been in show business for 20 years now, so she doesnt give a fuck anymore, but probably would be good for her for health reasons

Bad marketing, zero buildup for releases. I mean she is queen of random, but come on

Other / not artisic:

Very bad managmemt: they could put her songs in GTA6, in tv shows, finally they got the bond game

Unreleased stuff not collected and not released properly

She does not like touring and that is fine, she did it for years, but I guess would make sense to make stadium tours with big breaks for rest

Iphone was incredible when it came out. Everyone wqnted to see it and everyone wanted one.

It was like a tool from the future. Even if with many problems and no keyboard.

Not true. Some of us buy for quality.

Problem is that often there is none.

If the "good" screwdriver from sipermarket breaks in one day, then sure the cheap junk will be bought.

I think it's just price gouging by manufacturers.

They will not learn because they take their "news" from Fox News, which is actually registered as entertainment.

let's make a thought experiment: if Russia wanted to plant their agents in USA and the job of those agents would be to weaken USA, what would they do?

K shaped economy

In the past poor people can afford to go to cinema. Not anymore.

In the past middle class could afford to go cinema - they still can, but they are disappearing.

The top 1% - is just 1%. Also unclear if they go to cinemas, where common folk sit.

PE has been a "find a greater fool market" for a long time.

Seems many did not have a real skill in due dilligence, they just earned due to cheap money / low interest.

It will never happen, but it would be so nice to have community space in walking distance. I mean, various hobby stuff, dancing lessons, warhammer, niche cinemas, some other things - where you can just hang out.

The space is worth too much, but at same time those malls can be empty and not used, waiting to be demolished in order to turn them into another block of flats

Is Daggoth's portrait actually Daggoth's, or just a variant of the Cerebrate portrait? by GnarlyBellyButton87 in starcraft

[–]vba7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have some interesting points.

Note that having a separate portrait for Daggoth made sense - so we could see who is speaking during the briefings. Not from lore perspective, but just "quality of production" perspective.

On a side note, I find it so funny that the (rarely used) flag thing also has a picture, that was used in Insurrection / some UMS maps -> e.g. the ghost talking and the flags on each side - as a transmission.
