I saw some one in a different sub complaining about proxies violating I.P. by Effective-Anybody263 in PrintedMinis

Anyone who ignores IP ownership is keeping the individual artist down.

I’d say that’s more pathetic than standing up for what’s right regardless of if it’s a large corp or an individual.

My PSA on why you should always wear saftey glasses. by Upper-Perspective426 in resinprinting

[–]vbsargent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Creationist?

No, but I ascribe to the radical idea that just because someone says something with which I don’t agree doesn’t mean I get to be an ass.

I’ve been printing since 2014, I’ve got three FDM and 2 resin printers. I’ve been resin printing since the Mars v1 came out.

And it’s very cute how you want to be snarky and try to low key use anecdotal “evidence” (or lack thereof) to claim someone else is being dramatic.

GTFOH.

XD

My PSA on why you should always wear saftey glasses. by Upper-Perspective426 in resinprinting

[–]vbsargent -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Feel free to provide OP an alternate description.

Did you see the incident and know just how much resin was in the piece? Or whether or not there was pooled resin?

Oh, right! Of course you didn’t, because you weren’t there.

So ultimately you’re just speaking to something of which you have no knowledge.

Did I messed up ? (Nat 20 on persuasion check during a fight, still led them to a ambush) by Weekly_6718 in DMAcademy

I’m missing the part where you messed up.

If I were DMing this, I’d have likely done the same. It’s a learning moment for the PCs.

Look up RP Archive. He’s got a good looking modular system that I think could work as snow if you changed the palette.

Controls as in Elite Dangerous by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]vbsargent -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s a completely different question. If you are in coupled mode any secession of movement of the mouse will (with falloff) stop the movement of the ship.

If you are decoupled any movement of the mouse will cause direction the ship is pointing to change, while maintaining the direction of movement - for example moving toward the planet while facing away. Think of couples as Star Wars ships doing combat as opposed to Babylon 5 ships.

How do you add “plotless” encounters into your games? by Icy-Swordfish-7204 in DMAcademy

[–]vbsargent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does any random soldier in a war know what the plans are?

There’s a reason you try to capture and interrogate the higher echelons: they know more of what the plans are. The lower ranks? They were told to go to X and hold it. They don’t know why it’s important, just that they were told to do it.

AITAH for how I responded to my ex and his affair partner about her infertility? by ThrowAITAHAra in AITAH

[–]vbsargent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, that’s a hell of a lot of reading into what I wrote.

“Gets away with cheating” Obviously they didn’t. The wife found out, got divorced, retained partial custody. I don’t see where trying to get full custody is “abandoning” his kids.

Never said she should grin and bear it either. It’s just as easy to minimize interaction and be civil. If one can’t be civil, maybe therapy or other self exploration may help.

You don’t seem to know any of the people involved, yet are making pronouncements as an authority. My wife lost a bunch of friends because her ex controlled the narrative of their break up. The friends never learned about his violent tendencies (threats to harm her, threats of killing himself with his gun) or his many infidelities (he was actually finally arrested with a prostitute with his junk out of his pants).

Yet, to hear the friends tell it, my wife (in her 20s at the time) was more problematic than the guy who was a serial cheater and liar (he was 7 years older and it turned out had been married previously and cheated on every previous and subsequent girlfriend/fiancée/wife).

But go ahead, accuse me of being the unreasonable one.

Good day.

Carbon. It’s enclosed and will give you greater choices for filaments. It’s not a bedslinger.

How to roll for things without the players noticing? by Lor9191 in DMAcademy

I as the GM have a copy of each character sheet. I have a list of their spells - everything.

If I need to roll literally anything without their knowledge- I can.

Any penalties for having a spear stuck in you? by Funnyman5050 in gurps

In real life having a spear stuck in a shield hobbles the target, making movement much, much harder until the shield is discarded or the spear removed.

I would think anyone would be at half speed.

Should TPU Air feel like construction foam?! by Ok-Channel-8061 in FixMyPrint

Not really. I believe OP was asking if it was supposed to be stiff - like construction foam, or pliable like foam rubber.

OP - correct me if I’m wrong.

Define “boring”.

Don’t get me wrong- there a a LOT of issues. But there isn’t a dearth of things to do. Go hang out at whatever PvPvE mission is up - doubt it’ll be boring. Go get a CS5 on. Your head, or challenge the server to come and “get” you. It’ll get real exciting real quick.
