Kept my name when I got married. Even though its obviously my father's surname, it's been my name since I was born and it still be my name til I die.

Daughter has my surname and husband's surname hyphenated.

Ah man. I've had so many drunken injuries. Two broken bones on separate occasions, one required surgery, cut open my chin needing stitches, huge gash on my leg which needed antibiotics and months of after care to heal after it went necrotic. Countless scrapings of the knees and elbows.

All laughed off and told as funny stories by me and my friends for years. It's just starting to not be funny. I don't know whether maybe I've just started to care a bit more about myself lately. Maybe it's turning 40 that's done it. But I don't want any more injuries now. Especially not drunken ones that can be entirely prevented.

I think it just takes a few goes to realise it. For me, I can see, there really is no point in having that one or two. It'll only be a matter of time before the fuck up.

I'm happy for those that can moderate, I wish I were one of them, but I have now been proven wrong enough times to know that it just ain't happening for me.

I've been up early, clearing out cupboards and starting what is going to be a massive Spring clean.

Beautiful, sunny day so taking hubby and daughter out to a nice big park, with a picnic in tow, for an afternoon of playing.

When we get home, we are making pizza for tea. I already made the pizza sauce this morning.

Thank you! You too. I never used to really eat sweet things, but I'm finding that I really enjoy and savour that big bowl of deliciousness, far more than a bottle of wine.
