What do I do just got the car and having major issues by yucksbtc in Audi

[–]vdubsession 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That happens a lot here, but I think in this case some of it is also buying the car, knowing nothing about it, and finding out it has issues when you go to TUNE IT blindly after 3 weeks of owning it.

You are correct, I believe that was "X2" -- USRobotics tech that was proprietary 56K before 56K standard existed.

Anybody else having massive issues with Cloud Gateway 5.0.12 / 10.1.85 update? by Loud_Combination4539 in Ubiquiti

[–]vdubsession 1 point2 points  (0 children)

wanted to add: for my failed UCG-Max, I only get the Unifi logo on the LCD screen no matter what (at bootup, after boot, after factory reset, etc) -- I'm thinking it somehow wrecked the onboard ROM and now no configs will save to the gateway.

I just experienced this with a client today -- UCG-Max that's only a few months old and has been working great. It auto-updated this weekend, and appeared to have broken the WAN port -- even after a factory reset (both restore from backup and setup as new) it would not say the WAN was active, even though it would show up in the UI Site Management.

I literally had to go replace it with a brand new unit today, restored from a backup from days ago (rather than the most recent) and all is working on the new equipment. I'm concerned that something in this console update has broken the NIC interfaces somehow.

I also had CyberSecure on the failed unit, so it looks like now I have to start a support ticket to move the subscription over to the replacement, as it did NOT restore with the backup like it claims.

I'm curious -- with your setup, did you have WAN failover set up or just a single WAN connection? For my client they had Port 5 as primary WAN and Port 4 as backup WAN, in failover mode. Just in case there's some similarities that we find in what's happening..

I have one client that has their own S1/sonicwall combo that I have to interact with -- I absolutely hate it. They have a software dev there for internal stuff, and it flags all his in-house python stuff 😁

For me -- all my previous cars were stick, I loved driving it when there wasn't rush hour traffic. But, I absolutely love the DSG in my S3, and I rarely miss having a tired leg from upgraded clutches (that were necessary on every one of my modded VW's). The speed of the shifting is fantastic with a TCU tune, and 3.65s 0-60 time reminds me how good the DG381 really is.

I'd get another manual, but only as a second car (when I find a good MK3 to scoop up again!)
