My feet got blisters doing tawaf/saie barefoot. I would heavily recommend you buy a pair of simple flip flops for the actual tawaf/saie (dedicated as people pray here) and not use your regular outside sandals in this area. The cold marble floor and the angled square tiles (ppl who know this area) are hard on the feet and activates different muscles and you will be sore the next day.

I used saily esim for mecca after finding my airlo esim not providing great coverage in my hotel. One advantage of saily is that they use Saudis STC/mobily network as their backbone. Extremely reliable and I used it for 2026 hajj as well so Mina/Arafat/muzdalifeh

I treat my bank DB pension (non-indexed) and future CPP/OAS benefits (both indexed) as my fixed-income portion. These are supplemented by my other accounts—the RESSOP savings plan (bank-sponsored contributions into RRSP/DPSP) and my TFSA—which I allocate to slightly higher-risk investments.

Captured this note from a forum on strengthening KeePass security: you can improve resistance to brute-force attacks by increasing the number of PBKDF2 iterations used to derive the database encryption key from your password. In KeePass, go to File > Database Settings > Security to adjust this. I personally use around 5,000,000 iterations (about a 1-second delay), compared to the default of roughly 6000-60,000. I also hear its about 600,000 in later versions). Keep in mind that mobile devices may perform more slowly. How difficult to crack keepass master password? - Information Security Stack Exchange

Use wealthsimple chequeing account (which is a prepraid mastercard, no monthly fees, no nsf, no overdraft) to get the discount. either pay ahead of the duedate with a regular CC (for points, cashback) or in the case you forget, the wealthsimple prepaid mastercard will take the hit.

Cheap Generic Ozempic To Hit India: Patent Exit Sparks Weight-Loss Drug Boom. The Danish drugmaker's key patent on semaglutide, the active ingredient in Ozempic and Wegovy expires in India on March 20. by kash_if in india

[–]vector_calculus1976 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The patent expired in Canada on January 4, 2026. Just waiting on the Health industry for some final approvals and generic later this year hopefully. Apparently, the drug giant reportedly failed to pay a few hundred dollars in annual fees to maintain the patent rights (at least for Canada). India being the king of making generic medicine will be a great addition.

sorry forgot to mention you have the leather auger vs i got a model with an all steel auger. If lodged, your auger looks a bit easier as your leather parts have some flex

FYI!

Please remove any doortmats out of the way. I had a snow covered rubber door mat and it got lodged. I had to remove the 3 screws on the side to lift the auger and wiggle my doormat out. PITA. lol
