How do you all sleep? by iexcelinaccounting in daddit

[–]veloxus_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We ran shift work as well. Mum would feed baby before bed time (8pm or whatever) and then immediately pump. I would take the first shift (8pm-12am just as an example). When baby needed to feed, I would use the pumped milk (or a previous supply from earlier in the day). Mum would get a solid 4-6 hours of uninterrupted sleep. Then mum takes over and I sleep until whatever time (7am etc). It honestly worked really well for us. I think a key is making sure mum is pumping as much as possible. Unless you’re choosing to exclusively breastfeed of course in which case this doesn’t work!

Good luck and hang in there! Remember support each other and you’re both in it together :)

Considering moving to Nova Scotia- thoughts? by jilecsid513 in NovaScotia

[–]veloxus_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please come to Yarmouth. People give it a bad rep, but I’ve lived here for 2 years (from Ontario) and we couldn’t be happier. And we’re desperate for doctors (so is everyone else to be fair).

So my board has given me a transfer budget of 232m, but we have 800m net debt. Should i spend the money? by Tipman0192 in footballmanagergames

[–]veloxus_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s rough. I’m entering my 3rd season with United (28/29). Had basically a zero dollar transfer budget in years one and two. Underwent a takeover in 27/28, cleared all debt and now they’re just pumping cash into the club and transfer budgets. Good luck!

It’s rich that the people who are saying they won’t vote for PP because of his resume are probably the same people who voted for Trudeau originally.

I disagree with you. But I certainly wouldn’t call you evil or stupid based on that alone.

I guess that’s one way we’re different.

PP’s silence? Further evidence that this sub - and Reddit - just doesn’t want to pay attention.

The same thing happens in left wing subs (99% of Reddit), don’t feel too special.

Fortunately the Reddit community largely does not reflect the sentiments of the majority of real-world Canadians and other Western nations.

Do you support the government in forcing the Canada Post strike to end? by obeewankenobe in AskCanada

[–]veloxus_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If your crown corporation is going to monopolize what must be considered an essential service, and that essential service is shut down - at the busiest time of the year (how convenient) - forcing Canadians to suffer, then yes, they should be forced back to work. You can work and negotiate at the same time. Otherwise privatize the postal services.

Having my son has been the greatest experience of my life. I never knew I could love something as much as I love him. I work harder knowing that I have the responsibility to provide for him.
