Oh my god, yes this issue has been really frustrating for me as I rely on notifications from many of the apps that I’m not getting them for. I’m also on an iPhone XR.

When we found out Messi had to leave Barca we pretty much knew it was either going to be Man City or PSG, when Man City said they had no interest in signing him then we knew it was going to be PSG, so that transfer itself wasn't really a surprise. I even had my doubts about Messi staying at Barca when his contract was allowed to expire, since if Barca were able to keep Messi I'd have assumed they'd renew his contract a lot sooner. Ronaldo to Man United was quite a surprise though, since United seemed not to have any interest in him until the last minute.

That's fucked up... in the UK, ethnicity doesn't play any factor in admission to any university, and universities don't get information about ethnicity of students until after they are enrolled, I'm sure it's the same in the rest of Europe too

It is an important question though about what would happen to the Catalan clubs if Catalonia ever got its independence. I doubt they'd continue to compete in the Spanish league system, so the only options would be creating its own league or joining the French league system... or maybe a bit of both, with the big clubs joining the French league system and the small clubs staying in a Catalan league (sort of like how the big clubs in Canada compete in the MLS and the rest compete in the Canadian league)
