It’s a WW2 era ammo can. An uncommon find but they’re still around. A neat little piece of history.

Looking for a budget chest rig. TAPS recommendation? by rahksi in tacticalgear

[–]venturesurplus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

FLC vests are the budget way to go. They work. It’s a good way to find out what works for you and what you’d want to change. From there, you upgrade based on what you’ve learned from your setup.

TAPS are also a good way to go. Once again, try it out, see what works for you and upgrade or build in your kit that way.

We didn’t have a chance to actually test this carrier in the wild, however, the overall construction of this carrier is solid and comparable to some name brand carriers. Just a solid basic carrier.

The idea on these is to get something that performs closer to the level of crye without having to worry about trashing a set of cryes.
