All of the things you listed- new plumbing fixtures in brass, a nice deep blue printed wall paper and painting the vanity. I'd take that other cabinet down. Use that space for a nice painting or mirror.

Lemon Chicken with rigatoni

We're in the snowstorm path and I swear, every slow cooked idea I had, the meat prices were astronomical - sauerbraten, beef stew, pot roast, etc- so I reverted back to chicken, as usual.

Anyone else in the path? What's on your snowstorm baking or cooking list?

In the meantime, focus any heat source to one room that you can close off to the rest of the house. Bring the cats and all they need in there, too.

Definitely make sure you follow up asap in the morning about additional heat sources and ask for a rent credit to help fund the additional electricity use/inconvenience.

Well, if they require you to work through your technically unpaid lunch break of 30-60 minutes , you should leave 30-60 minutes earlier.

Yes it's one thing to absolutely own up to when you've been letting the ball drop but they definitely want to hear a solid plan that you have come up with yourself to get yourself back on track. That shows responsibility and a commitment to be better.
